I started to write this song the day we found out we were going to have a boy. As the recording process went on, I would play rough versions for Gio while he was in the womb. We finished the song just in time for Giovani's arrival thanks to the help of John West on guitar, Jenna Gillespie on keys and Kev Da Khemist on the production. Now, when we play the song for Gio he stops what he's doing and looks around for daddy.
Mommy and Daddy are so blessed to have you Giovani Nico Ruiz. I have so much to tell you and so much to teach you. You have taught me so many things since the day you were born. You make me feel like the Luckiest Dad Alive.
