Wrong. Pitbull breed is genetically characterized to be aggressive guard dogs with heavy duty bite force. That's their core. That what they were initially bred for! Sentimental arguments aside, guard dogs are not meant to be domesticated. They can easily get triggered and turn on the owner (or anyone) even with the best of training and upbringing - the reason why they are banned across several locations even in the western society.

My cousin sister's son was attacked by group of stray dogs without any provocation . Does anybody has explanation for this behaviour? It just happened. We consider it as an accident. At night after my late night shifts when I used to return home I always kept my leather belt in my hand for protection against stray dogs as they have a tendency to attack at night . My point is it is not about any particular breed but their temperament. Recently at Kolkata a Rottweiler has saved his owner from the hand of an armed robber . When this armed robber attacked his owner with a knife and stabbed him , this Rottweiler jumped on this robber and didnot leave him until the police arrived. Rottweiler is banned in America . But here this Rottweiler has saved a life. We can't generalize just like that !

Bro... I agree...lack of socialization, lack of exercise etc... But at any cost no dog should kill their own family member.. They can bite out of aggression, they can growl at their owners, they can even kill a stranger due to lack of obedience...But killing their own parents who is not even a potential threat, is not digestible. Dogs are the only species in planet earth whom we can trust blindly. But this incident turned me off. Don't get me wrong that I do not know anything about dog's psychology... I am a GSD parent and by watching CESAR MILLAN I have full control over my 4 year old GSD who also heels like a Police dog. To be very honest, up to two years of my dog's age I used to know nothing.. But he never bitten any of our family member even though his energy was not channelized, he was not socialized at all. He used to go furious about any stranger, but his priority was to protect his family not to kill them... Believe me man every dog breed has their own characteristics. Few breeds are not for everyone. That Pitbull could never bite Amit bhai because he is dominant over his dog, but his mother was not. As a dog you can't kill your owner just because you are more dominant. If any dog breed has a capability to kill anyone, we should not have it at least at our home.

Nope, dogs with proper training doesn't try to find ways to attack their owner. When trained they learn to understand not to harm their owner or other people. However humans are different, they don't give a damn about anything, they will turn their back and start nonsense with you as soon as they get a chance. We can never blame the animal especially a dog. Dogs r the most faithful and loyal animal. Their behaviour simply is the result of the way of keeping them .Acquiring a well amount of right knowledge about the breed before keeping them and parenting them in the right direction is essential. However no one can really ignore such a mishappening . It's so unfortunate and a very traumatic incident. Even then also the dog should not be blamed. The owner (Amit) should have identified and rectified the triggers of aggression in his dog before keeping the dog along with her 82 years old mother. All dogs r the nicest creation of the creator and they should be properly raised and well treated.
