Lucknow Session, Lucknow Pact | History of Modern India

This lecture is about Lucknow Session, 1916 of Indian National Congress which proved to be one of the most important sessions in the Modern history due to two events i.e. Lucknow Pact between INC & AIML and Lucknow Merger between Moderates and Extremists.

I think Lucknow pact was signed by Congress and Muslims for putting their demand against British as British want soldiers, so they are ready for reform. Also they accepted Swaraj in return for soldiers. Am I right???

only pre. for mains you'll have to focus on your writing skills and make your own contents. best is NCERT for that but it'll be too lengthy. buy a book like India after independence or bipin chandra to prepare for mains. keep in mind that you don't have only History as your major subject, there are so many books you'll have to go through. mains syllabus for any State psc is 4 or 5 times bigger than pre.

But If you have time can you please answer my question? :: Earlier in your videos you stated that Muslim league lost elections and thus was not so powerful party as compared to INC. Then why INC felt need to have a pact with Muslim league when they could have done everything on their own since extremists also came back?
