We are out here, loving and caring and taking lots of shit from our women. And i have no problem saying this because the few guys that are like this actually love way too much. The biggest problem we are having is that we find it hard to get that love back from you. Some women leave because they know they can't do the same. @snazzjo13 if your a woman or a man, I'll like to say keep searching.

he puts too much fucking trust and devotion into women that's why he ends up this level of hurt (Literally said it in the song)..fuck that, bout raise the bar.. lmaoo don't get me wrong of lovvve and respect my women, but not to the point of suicide if i get fucked over.

This is the Rebirth of 90's R&B in a sex driven musical world. Lucky Daye is an Artist genuinely sharing true intimacy and making being in love an option modernly. I am happy his music found me, appreciation.

@@lyssyui7734 I meant in the aspect that all there is now is sex that drives R&B modernly. There is not much emphasis on actual relationships, intimacy, passion, it is all on a base scale if catching feelings. The 90's included all of that and the sex and sensuality.

lol. The 90’s… I love it…😂 I may be an older Millennial (born in ‘89 & raised in the 90’s,) but my household was filled with Old School (Retro) Soul, Rhythm & Blues, even older Popular music, Jazz and Classical due to my Baby Boomer mother being a lifelong lover of music. This encouraged me to take music courses in school also. Lol. ANYWAY: Soul/R&B Intros, Monologues or Medleys (the precursor to Interludes) was common back in the 1960’s, especially the 1970’s… You knew it was serious & about to be ON, when the artist had to sit down and rap (chat/talk) to ya a lil bit… Think of Issac Hayes (example: “Medley: Ike’s Rap Part III / Your Love Is So Doggone Good”,) Barry White, Aretha Franklin, The New Birth Inc, The Isley Brothers (especially when they played live shows…) Then you had other artists like Marvin Gaye that sang or scat for periods of time before the Refrain/Chorus/Verse would Begin or throughout the record (Example: “I Want You.”) In this song, your biggest context clues as to his ode to the Retro Soul/R&B sound are the strings & the timing/counts of the bass. Even visually: His attire: this printed shirt with the wide collar, the font used for the title… All Retro 60’s & 70’s… Hope this helps!🥰

'I can't afford those losses. ' [Pre-Chorus] That's just my ego talking. You made my heart beat for you. I almost cried too often, But I've put too much in your hands , So much regret in the end. It's a shame for you, It's a shame for me. Is the blame on you? I could say the same for me. After the wrong, is there a right? How can I look into your eyes? This is the truth that I can't find. [Chorus] I love you too much x2 It's a shame for you . It's a shame for me . [Verse 2] Gotta be careful, I know, I know. You and me can't be nothing no more . I been looking for something from you . I been getting nothing at all. You're such a fucking woman. But you're such the fucking one. 'I can't afford those losses .' [Pre-chorus] That's just my ego talking. [Verse 3] They say love is blind, That's some real shit. Woke up from a lie into the truth. How you fucking lie with a straight face? How can you and I find a safe place? We was in our zone now you're making sudden moves, I wish I could cater to you, You know issa hard way to love with no... Hard way to love with no trust. [Pre-chorus] [Chorus] Oohhh, ohhhh, ohhhh. [Instrumental outro]
