But id rather listen to the same old tracks for the rest of my life instead of having Abel struggling to life like he did back then. I'm happy for him and if you're reading this; I'm proud of you. Hey Guys, I’m a big fan of The Weeknd and I just made a motivational video about his life and career and I would really appreciate you guys checking it out. I really put a lot of dedication and effort into this video to make it the best I can and my goal is for Abel to hopefully see it or at least hear about it. So if you can just do me a solid as a fan and check it out that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and I hope everyone stays safe!! LINK: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5zVhIOdaJmtq68

First song of his I ever heard. Naive 11 year old me would listen to it on the radio in the car commuting to and from school. Of course at that young age I'd think nothing of it. Only now do I realize the potency and the profoundness of Abel's music. Truly intoxicating.

something about this song just strums the gently swayed strings of my heart, and with every strum i feel that i’m coming closer and closer to the edge of tears. i feel like he really pours his heart into music, i can feel it so deeply, transcending through every aspect of everything he creates. this is the second song i’ve listened to him and he’s definitely going to be one of my favorite artists 🥺. this makes me want to kiss a random stranger and love them so deeply in those moments, and never see them again. i love how music can express the words that we struggle to say, it’s so beautiful that we have access to people who are capable of making… magic.

Has anyone noticed that these 2011 uploads sound a little different to the Spotify, Apple Music and 2012 versions? I have some experience with mixing and mastering music, so I noticed it immediately. I guess they were remastered to sound more clean for the 2012 Trilogy release. But, to me, these versions sound better. The slight uncleanliness of the original mixes gave the songs a more real, dark, edgy and raw tone, which is what The Weeknd was always about.
