Had an all-day appt. today, unsure yet how productive it really was and how much is still to go. But at least it may help some. Grateful to a long-distance Boston friend for recommending local city resources (Houston). Maybe things can work out in time after alll. -- Oh was my kitty ever glad to see me back tonight. She has become so used to me being at home so much she didn't know what to do when I was going. Very sweet little cat.

The pro's and con's of silent hairballs. They're obviously less noisy. And purrhaps easier on the cats esophagus. The downside is that you don't hear them coming, so you won't know where they are or that they are even there. You'll never be able to walk in the house on socks or barefoot ever again!

Some of my cats do noisy barfs and at other times it’s silent except for the splat when it hits the floor. The silent ones are very fast. The noisy ones take more time to produce. 🤷

Are the cats hungrier without the crunchies as often and limiting their diet so they lose a little weight? maybe that's why Stell and. Boo have had digestive and hirballl issues lately? -- Poor Stella. Sympathy. With my cats over the years, most of the time, there's some indication they are going to spit up a hairball or puke. And yes that can get very old if they have recurring issues with it as they age. But yes, also you may feel extra sympathy for them most of the time, yet really irritated once in a while. -- Boo and Stella are both around 7 or 8, maybe a yer older? So they are beginning to have middle-age or senior cat health issues depending on who says what ages. Bless 'em both, they both are ine cats. Wishing all of them the best.

Yay, 8 years for Stella and Boo, 7 for Simba and Splash. -- The new litterbox schedule sounds way more manageable and frugal on litter. -- Those cat bed / tower inserts are super. Sharon's great. -- Aw, Sammy and the 7 kittens. :)

I mostly get the pumping noise when my cats puke. But, one of them tends to scream like a banshee While he's puking. Gave me a heart attack the first time I heard it. I raced in from another room because I thought someone was dying or had grievously injured themself or something. Nope. Hairballs are just worth screaming about I guess.

Silent hairballs. Sounds like an alternate reality cat submarine movie. A cat submarine would have a hairball cannon. Might not do damage but it would gross the enemy out. Glad Stella is ok. I think she may have a mute button in her tummy And of course, one of the "joys" of having cats is a silent hairball you find in the darkness on the carpet usually when you're running to the bathroom and you find it with your built in HAIRBALL DETECTOR, your foot ! My cats get some hairballs from grooming but most hairball and vomiting attacks are from wolfing down their wet or dry food. I had to go to Iams hairball control because my Fuzzy used to vomit up every other brand of cat food I ever gave the 3 cats. The outdoor cats for some reason have never had a hairball that I can find. I think its because they probably eat grass.
