Great video on the Half Dome 2 Plus. My oldest son and I both have this tent for backpacking. He goes with his two boxers so I take my own tent. I love the extra room and that I can cook inside the vestibule on rainy mornings. The vestibules are also large enough to easily cover our backpacks. We both love our Half Dome 2 Plus tents! Like you this is the first quality tent I have owned. What a difference from the cheap Coleman tents I have used in the past.

That REI tent looks massive! Does it not pack down to something smaller and more convinient for throwing in a back pack for multi day treks?

Here's my 'footprint' theory... so many folk already have (and only use) tyvek or polypro and would complain that they had to pay for a footprint that they would never use...
