I "learned" this by ear probably 15-20 years ago. Always felt that I was a note or two off in some parts where it is kinda hard to hear exactly what Dave is doing in the mix. Welp, I got the intro nailed as well as most of the rest..except the little blues lick he does in the verses. THANK YOU for this, I'll finally be playing the whole thing correctly!

I always pay attention to where and how your fretting hand moves and how you arpeggiate notes like Marty Friedman but not really sweep them! And you differentiate that sweep when you play like Dimebag because you add some soul to the sweep so that's dope man keep up the awesome work

Got to say that was really good to watch and once I get myself a guitar I'd love to learn this mate. I've always said that Dave's playing isn't that easy to play. I did try once to learn wake up dead, but I couldn't get the hang of it. Just to finish off I've seen the bush fires over with you on the BBC news channel and it isn't nice to be stuck in the middle of know where without no help.

In your cover of Lucretia you did 7 years ago you played the rhythm part during Marty’s solo differently. Which way do you reckon is closest to what Dave plays on the record? Both are really good. I get this question all the time and the quality of both is very good. It really comes down to the feel of what you prefer and what suits you better. Depends which day you ask me which one is better. I’m not a huge fan of Dean guitars but the VMNT’s are well done. Mine is Korean, not sure where they’re built these days

aes kz try a flexible pick like tortex .73 way easier for me with a pick that gives just a little. Also don’t go too thin on the low E string at least .046 I prefer 0.052, the rest is just practice
