Lucy was that most rare actress who didn't mind falling into a pool of mud or getting a pie in the face. She was as great of an actress as Bette Davis or Kate Hepburn, however he mode was slapstick comedy.

The actor with the mustache is Frank Nelson. He played Freddie Fillmore on three episodes, as host of "Females Are Fabulous," "Mr. And Mrs. Quiz," and "Be A Good Neighbor." He also played the conductor on the train taking the Ricardos and Mertzes from California back to New York, and neighbor Ralph Ramsey on the Connecticut episodes. He's probably best remembered as Jack Benny's perpetual nemesis and for his trademark, "Yeesss?"

Lucy was a true trouper; she did her job, not matter what. Desi, however, if you look into his eyes, looks uncomfortable with the particular stunt. He really loved her and, when you really love someone, having to gunge them for the sake of show biz has to cause some "ick" feelings. If she had been my wife, I would have refused to do this particular script---I'm just too tender-hearted, no matter if she was willing to suck it up and just do it. This is part of the 4th(?) Season of the show, where the scripts, briefly, got a little less funny and more mean-spirited (as in "Ricky Loses His Temper"). That and this episode, to me, personify torturing the person you love, which is never funny. Any real-life, loving woman and wife would have kicked his teeth in and filed for divorce, then or today, suing for abuse and mental cruelty, but I suppose this episode proves how much Lucy really loved Ricky, even when he was mean to her.
