what I find incredible is how brazen it was. She can't have been that bright - why didn't she realise that someone would notice that babies were being killed given 4-5 deaths in an entire year would be the norm. She went on an absolute spree. What I don't understand is how none of her friends/family noticed anything odd about her.

I very much doubt that hospital budgets would allow for nurses to effectively shadow and monitor each other. They as professionals are expected to be trustworthy.

Yes I agree with this guys opinion.. for someone like Lucy who probably lacks normal human feelings, seeing everyone get so worked up and upset by the death of an innocent baby, feelings which she couldn't relate to, probably was very amusing to her. She was playing puppet master for her own amusement and ego satisfaction

I think your talking nonsense and its clear from your use of language you have no qualifications in any relevant area. The idea that you have validly assessed someone you have never met and with zero qualifications says more about you than it does Letby. Its also pretty funny you are confident to state you know how she felt during the incidents. The kicker however is the use of sociopathy when its clear she doesnt even meet the criteria for ASPD. You're giving yourself the answer, already. Do you know the main sentence neighbours, friends and colleagues say when someone they know-closely or not so closely gets caught for a heinous crime? Btw: I know several of such people, nobody except those who were their victims or some sensitive people would ever suspect what they did and do

Yup. It was a mental health team who said i wasnt humble enuf and put razor blades half hidden in my room when i was admitted to a psychiatric ward. Not sure if id believe any mental health professional now. O, and the last relationship i was in was with a mh prof, lectured at uni, no less! Criminal record said he was a narcissistic violent sex predator ffs

Im afraid hes jumped the shark. He has no evidence shes a psychopath, there are other disorders which can account for the behaviours. He hasn't assessed her and he may not even be qualified to, psychologists do not diagnose. I understand the anchor wanting answers to these questions but for this guy to suggest he knows how she thinks is pure speculation. Its also not true to suggest she was born into being a psychopath, you may be born with a predisposition to certain things but theres little from her middle class background that suggests she had that trajectory. You also need an environment to shape its development. Simply put if she was antisocial enough to qualify as one she wouldnt have got through the door as a nurse.

I can't find any information about the psychiatric evaluation Letby would have had to see if she was fit to stand trial. Tumbleweed. All I've come across is that she was assessed as having PTSD when the finger of suspicion fell on her and was suspended from her job.

Again, in my opinion, more Factitious Disorder that Psychopathy. But unlike the Robert Hare psychometric self report test for Psychopathy, Factitious Disorder is far more complex, don't think 'amused' is the right description, Dave. But, i am aware, Psychology is not an exact science.
