I Love Lucy is an American television sitcom starring Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance, and William Frawley. The black-and-white series originally ran from October 15, 1951, to May 6, 1957, on CBS. All 180 episodes aired on Mondays.
In total 180 episodes of I Love Lucy were produced, plus a pilot episode. The pilot, which was not made for broadcast and did not air as part of the show's original run, is generally not counted as one of the episodes and therefore listed separately for reference. It is, however, available on DVD and Blu-ray releases of the first season. Following I Love Lucy, a further 13 one hour-long episodes were produced under the title of The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show (later and more commonly known in syndication as The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour) with the same cast and later packaged as seasons 7, 8 & 9 under the I Love Lucy series.

The wonderful story about Lucy having a baby, was the scene where she tells Ricky at the night club he's going to be a dad. It was real not scripted, Look the story up His reaction was real and authentic. He thought it was someone in the audience.

Lol because Lucille was 6 months pregnant at the time in real , and she was pregnant from the very first episode of season 2 to this one , they just did an extremely poor job of hiding it in this one , and the others.

yeah you're right, she was about 6 months pregnant here :) There were a lot of problems back stage before they got permission from the Network (CBS), because you weren't allowed to be pregnant on-screen.

It would have been nice if they had had a girl & Ricky could have projected learning/ teaching respect for girls in the show but back then boys were disproportionally over valued which in turn contributed to Ricky's alcohol environment which is in the end is a "lonely" problem. The man takes a drink, the drink takes a drink the drink takes the man.
