The first time I heard her sing this song, I was amazed that she was only 10 her voice was very mature for her age.

At 10 years old Lucy was an exceptional child with a great voice, and 5 years, growth, maturity, and more practice along with her hormones kicking in had produced a great voice, now even 3 years later at 18 Lucy has matured into a fantastic singer !! She just re released her version of Moon River at 18 of the song she sang at 13 on the talent show and my gawd the difference in looks, ability and skill is obvious. She is now an exceptional singer the greatest most talented singer I have ever heard, and frankly when you have heard the best...why bother with the rest !!! I have gone back and listened to others that have sung the same song as Lucy and what a difference, Lucy blows them all away !!! And when she hits those high notes and holds them she is singing those notes and not screaming them as so many others do !!!

Amazing Lucy, now at 18, has the full range from fragile delicacy to controlled power. Hopefully, with the musical "Rosie" finally being produced, Lucy will get the wide recognition that her talent deserves.

7/15/22 Amazed that this girl is now 18 and successful. Her sister Martha is also singing too with Lucy. I am 69 and in Tennessee, in the USA and I would love to travel to here them both sing. It would be the event of my life! Jim.

Amazing voice at very young age, recorded at age 10. Beautiful tone quality. Yes, the emotion connected with song's, here at age 15 the voice have change. Both version's of the song's is very good, she is the best of the best of this world today. Thank you Laymann for the great comments about Lucy.

That ocean beach scene has to be the North Atlantic as Wigan England is locate on the western side of the English Island and is a short drive from Wigan....there is also a video of Lucy when she turned 18 in Feb 21 2022 on that same beach where she makes the number 18 in the sand and she also used some of the footage on that beach when she was 10 and singing the son Run !!! Thanks for the comparison that was neat !! !

Thank you for reviewing Lucy and her awesome music. A diamond in the Rough age 10... now a priceless jewel whose influence is global. Half way through song at age 10 and Lucy has great tone, enunciation, vibrato, and breathing. She is showing lots of confidence and her performance shows it. Most 10 years olds do not tackle anything this complex and demanding. I wish we could see more of Lucy's early performances then and now. She actually used old footage from age 10 video in 2 other newer videos; Footprints In The Sand was one of them. Even at age 10, Lucy already showed signs of where she was going... to be a Star. Lots of symbolism in video... 'Run' = running in sand, writing 'Run' in sand... In her video 'Footprints In The Sand' you see actual footprints. At end, she writes 18 which is her 18th birthday. History and Geography Lesson: Lucy is from Wigan, just outside Manchester UK. It is between Liverpool (Beatles) and Sheffield (Def Leppard). The beach is probably Liverpool which is on the coast. It is about 30 minutes from Manchester. I asked Lucy what was in the drinking water that creates such great musicians in UK.

That is definately Lucy as you can tell by her voice, also the three moles in a triangle on her right cheek and her two beaver front teeth all say that is our Lucy !!! And you can see why Martha at also 10 is as good a singer as she is !! ! Genetics of the family !!! You could also do a comparison of Lucy at 13 on UK kids her Moon River and also her version at 18 of moon river with the UK Voice playing in the corner !!!

My thoughts: At age 15 , her voice had more depth to it, and I noticed that when she went up to falsetto she had a little more volume and managed to hold the high note longer. Voice had change from a very young girl's to a more mature and polished rendition.

you could do the same thing with Lucy's Moon River when she sang it at 13 on UK's Kids talent show and then when she re recorded it this last August when she was 18 !!! There is also a version of her at 18 with the 13 year old version in the upper right corner as she sings at 18 !!! Interesting !!!

Yes Layman it's great to have the lyrics there for most singers because a lot of them you can barely understand a word , but with Lucy you don't really need them ,because she has such a beautiful crystal clear voice

Les see lucy's COLORS of the WIND when she was 9 and over pronouncing all her words, seems to be an English/Irish thing as you see the same over pronounciation of the Celtic women, Irish" when they have young bkids on the show, makes for excellent enounciation of words !!

on the 10 video would have been a lot better if the mixer had cut down on the music volume as it almost dominated the young lady at times

Yeah this is such a problem with most songs the "accompanying" music becomes the dominate and is over powering. They just don't get it we come to listen to the singer not the music accompanying !!!
