Putri is singing 100% live 100%. She sees through her music and her music is everything to het. putri is self taught singing,piano flute & guitar She evenarranges tracks and wtites music. She wrote her first song at 11 and has a video she posted on urube that is amazing , at the end it says sge arranged all 78 tracks.Putri is so talented and sings with her heart and her God given talent. Most of her songs nake you 'feel' I just love her.Putri has posted hundreds of videos since she was about 14. She has quite a few songs on Sporify and other music services. beautiful voice. Hey, djj, I was looking for my phone again and scrolling through the comments. It seems to be that a lot of people are saying who treat his life and nobody understands that she sings it live and there’s a lot of production on the other voice. The truth of the matter is and you know how I feel about Bucher if you wash my shower at all is that she does put production on her voice and she essentially is place or studio property monitor his stuff. I’ve been in the music business for over 40 years and no one truly sings anything alive unless they’re actually on stage and even then it goes through a big mixing board and lots of processing before the crowd actually hears it. I hope you don’t take offense to what I said but I’m hoping others will read my comments. How do you said all that I still think poetry is the better singer.! :-)

I love them both. Lucy is heading towards musical theater and Disney. That’s why she usually stays true to the theme of all songs. When she lets loose like in Hallelujah, I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, and The Climb, she blows the roof off the house. I want her outside the box on more songs. Lucy's voice is mesmerizing with a tone of operatic accent at the back end... Putri on the other hand has that soulful tone almost very RNB. This makes her voice sound like an old soul rather than a happy Chappy 17 yr old lassie...I think putri can sing anything in this world. Therefore, if people are closer to a different note than the correct one, AutoTune will move them further away from the correct note to another one. Yes imagine you singing can't quiet get the note and autotune takes you away from it. Oh the audience would never know, would they. 🥴🤡😂😂

This allows the engineer to manually tweak each note and make sure it's perfect. for me personally there just is no comparison, Lucy is a way better singer across the board, for my ear. but from a technical perspective. One of her real strengths is the ability to effortlessly hit the note, change between areas of her range between head, mixed and chest voice, to use and control each and every note into different resonances etc, she always holds back a little from bellowing stuff to maintain that almost flawless control. When she chooses to do more contemporary pop stuff like 'The Climb' and 'I don't Wanna Miss a Thing', you hear that she can step outside of the classical mould and still deliver on all that tone and expression. the expression is all in her tone. Now for me, personally I really like the fact that she does stay under control on the big parts and just subtly increases the size of her voice, still maintaining the tone rather than what sounds to me like almost bellowing it like Witney etc can do, don't get me wrong, Witney had a huge and rich voice. This is just a matter of personal taste. If I want big and shouty I want distorted guitars and the full rock experience, when its over beautiful melodic backgrounds I want a voice to suite it. However in the case of Puti Ariana, she's trying to do that, but hasn't yet got that vocal development in her voice to pull it off, Lucy is a complete prodigy with respect to just how much of a voice she has at her age, she sounds 10 years older than she actually is, Putri Ariana hasn't got that, so it ends up with more of a screechy quality in my ear especially at the higher ranges and furthermore there is a lack of sustain and breath control, it doesn't have a good support so it sounds weak to me. This is not at all helped by the fact she's sitting behind a piano tbh, you simply cannot get the same levels of breathing support behind the voice when you're sitting down, no matter who you are. not even vocal power houses like Amy Lee. Even more so when you're leaning forwards to play the piano, you're just in the wrong position. Obviously great singers like Amy, Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion etc etc, have it to spare so they can put in a great performance whilst sitting down, but its still limiting their levels of breathing support even so. These are all things that vocal coaching and time will give her, which I hope she takes the opportunity to continue to pursue. Its not that her voice is fundamentally bad in any way, its just not fully developed yet and for me, with a song like this she'd have been far better actually holding back rather than exposing her weaknessness in rich tones. No matter how heart felt it was, I just didn't hear that in the production, if I closed my eyes, nor was it evident in her expression, on stage (this is something that's still a WIP for Lucy too btw, noticeably improved in later videos). However close your eyes and Lucy is fully telling each nuance in her voice. over all its a no brainer for me, Lucy's cover of this song, is superior to Puti's

Good reaction and vocal comparison Sir. Lucy was good vocal too but too melon and beautiful vibrato like other professional singer but still missing of soul impact and recording in studio. In my opinion Putri sang on concert and live, big hall with no control and no post production audio editting and somemore taken with mobile hp. It was still great and sound good. Putri sang while sitting and play piano with full emotion and soul and dramatic surprise, rich color tone for audience to focus and listen.. Putri really good in some placing with high, middle and low chest and head vocie even can sustain long notes on the air. Such a good creative way of renditon like her own technique and style. I must say its brilliant way and creatively done.

Dolly wrote this as a bittersweet love song Dolly and Lucy sing it that way. Whitney did it as a power ballad and Putri does a cover of Whitney’s version. So if you prefer the original version Lucy is clearly the best . If you prefer the Whitney version, Lucy is still the better singer, but Putri puts in many of Whitney’s (unnecessary) vocal gymnastics. In many ways it is easier to sing with a live band and an enthusiastic audience than in a sterile study so comparing a studio version with a live version is unfair on both of them!

I always prefer Lucy's pure clean versions of songs to the oversinging many pop singers engage in. Yes, Lucy uses subtle vocal techniques to make songs her own but they enhance the song while Lucy remains faithful to the songwriter's vision.
