Lucy always makes it her own. It is different to hear this song from the woman's point of view. She never struggles to reach the high parts and that also sets her apart. Also once in a while you will get that little growl. As you dive into the Lucy rabbit hole, you will not how each type of music, jazz, country, theatre, and rock has a different sound. The one problem I have with Lucy videos like this is the sham of showing a microphone that is definitely not being used. The audio is collected in a different manner, processed and then she lip synchs for the released video. She's a great singer ... I just don't like faking the video to be something that it is not. Same is true for any number of other singers.

She sings them live, no lip syncing then they go into the studio to be processed just like every recording artist. Listen to her latest release from her live concert in Manchester 'we can change the world' she's as good live. I was there.

@@user-kn9fu9qx1w I agree that she is good even live. But in this video, the mic is too far away from her and she turns her head enough while singing without any change. The song was recorded differently than what the video depicts. Notice in the live performance, that you mention, how she stays in close proximity to the microphone as to not lose the dynamics in her voice. I just object to placing a mic in this video that is only for show.

@ron4mac Well how many music videos are there with that many enhancements that we are unable to count. If you are correct, and I don't think you are it's the only one. Just one girl singing alone with a microphone in front of her. Give her a break, I have it on very good authority that she sings all her videos live.
