Love the way the strap is attached to one end. Let’s you carry it around neck or cross body, and it’s instantly available when a subject appears. Fast!

I bought the Nikon L35AF last August and was my only film camera for 6 weeks in Europe shooting 28 rolls. Every frame advance or film rewind sounds like the camera is about to die. Each shot sounds like it’s the last. But nothing really wrong with the camera, it keeps grinding out (and I do mean grinding) photos. Only negative is outside of ISO I have no control over exposure.
@LucyLumen6 ай бұрын
Hahhahaha this is such a good description of what this camera sounds like I love it! I hope yours lives on and keeps grinding. Thanks for watching

Hey Lucy Just got a new mint in the mail today off of EBay coming in from Japan. Put in a new set of Duracell batteries and a roll of film and snapped a few shots. Seems like the shutter is working properly and opening fast and slow to different lighting conditions. Film advance and rewind also seem ok. The only issue I am a bit paranoid about is that the post click advance sound seems a bit faint. Not sure if you have witnessed this before? Might be because the camera hasn’t been shot in a while or on a regular basis and needs to get warmed up :) Just wanted to ask and see if you are anyone you know might have faced a similar issue. Will take in the 10 shots I took to be developed and hopefully I’m just being overly anxious and everything works well.

your laugh always makes me smile. your photo walks have always been my favorite. just seeing what inspires you, and seeing all the sights (USA here) is so cool. i also don't really care about the 'gear' talk, the emotions that camera and photography give are way more interesting. I have been thinking lately about taking photos of the same thing, like your Park Lane apt. Mostly I just wonder: are photos of the same thing different? Not really a question in search of an answer, but something to contemplate. Anyway, I have enjoyed your channel almost from the start and you have inspired me with my own photographic journey. Thank you Lucy

Loved the video!❤You’ve inspired me to grab one of my Olympus Camedia digicams & go on a photo walk around my town and take some flash shots, I normally turn flash off but going to try get some of those super saturated flash shots! I’d love to see a photo walk with the Olympus MJU 1 or Minolta Explorer Freedom Zoom EX (amazing film camera!) or some of those vintage digicams too! Thanks for inspiring us all to be more creative!❤

Love the video color grading! I also tried the Nikon L35AF because of you! Great camera. I found so many of them at estate sales and thrift stores that I just sold them for profit and eventually just upgraded to a Nikon 35Ti 🤣

L35AF’s are notoriously loud advancing to the next frame. I feel lucky my second one I got off eBay almost sounds normal but that only makes me not want to use it as much afraid it’ll get louder. Haha!! But they’re a great camera.

Congratulations on three years. Of course it had to be an L35AF + Ektar 100 video to mark the occasion. Still shooting much more digital myself these days - lately infrared with the Sony Cybershot F828 magnet hack to get the black skies and grass and leaves as white as snow. Looking forward to the next three years.

I bought one of these for my wife donkeys years ago. She lent it to my brother and it came back not working. The green light come on, but that is it. This camera has a pretty good lens, so its a shame that no one repairs these. The camera is still in as new condition. Good show, BTW.

I can’t believe I’ve been watching your channel that long. I can’t remember how I came across your channel. I still haven’t used any film yet. But I did donate a box of expired film to my local camera store. They are giving it away. I did buy a Nikon D700 that has a great look without it looking to digital"

Hello! The question is whether the L35 AF2 is reliable or not... By reliable I mean if it is durable or if it breaks easily, constantly or if it is difficult to repair and dies. What's your opinion about it? Thank you!!
@LucyLumen4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I really don’t think anyone could reasonably recommend any vintage camera as being “reliable”. They all have massive potential to brick at any moment and it’s just something that comes with the territory of shooting film.
