It's been over a year and a half and here I am crying over this... How on brand for me. Absolutely stunning, and so the ending we - and they - deserved! They deserved to be happy. Those lonely, broken people that found each other and slowly grew to love... This is why I write, why I can't forget them... you showcased that perfectly, thank you.

mevlut sahin He tried to take his own life mainly because he failed to do his duty, that is saving/guarding her life. He seems workaholic and being ex soldier, failing to do their duties have immense effect on them than normal people it seems. Because as a bodyguard, their boss' life > their own life

David loved Julia more than anything to be fair! The way he went out to try and find the people that had her murdered in cold blood! There needs to be a season 2 and they need to bring back Julia!

Just watched The Bodyguard again (just as exciting the second time around!) I think the Beeb really failed to understand how much the public took Julia and David to their hearts. We are in MOURNING for them! It came as a twee Middle American ending that he looks like living back happily ever after with his wife - no shade to Vicky, but it's Julia that touched our blue paper!!

Eu amoo essa série,já assisti várias vezes e dá pra perceber claramente q David amava a Júlia e ela tbm o amava.David ficou muito abalado,inconfornado e passou a procurar quem havia assassinado Júlia e conseguiu mostrar várias pessoas q eram sujas corruptas.David e Júlia eram duas pessoas solitárias q se completaram e na minha opinião eles mereciam ser felizes juntos,e estou torcendo pela 2 temporada e com a volta da Júlia e o reencontro dos dois ❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@Lucytan79 First series I watch as the actress is Keeley, I loved her and her character, set of looks, her focused way that some considered as ambition, and also her romance with the guard. I was in doubt about her character, would it be that if he had not died she would enter the scheme of conspiracy? Would you play Stevie and the other conspirators? I did not manage to see her as corrupt ... But anyway, I need to watch more series in which she is part of the cast.

@@adamrz5 Julia is definitely a politician first, so by nature she always has various schemes on her mind to achieve her political goal, good or bad. I won't call it a conspiracy though, because Julia believed she's doing the right thing. And her views might have changed or evolved if she'd had the chance to interact with David further, to learn the voices from the other side further. Who knows? Sadly we'll never have the chance to know that.

@@adamrz5 Well, a lot of people view it in this way. But I don't think Julia did that only for David's protection. I mean, protecting Home Secretary is his JOB. It's not like she's asking him to do her an extra favor. From the looks between them, it's quite obviously she had a tender and sincere feeling for him, and he returned in kind.
