Absolutely brilliantly explained - no others have spoken about the depth of cut to raise the grain - i have a gold wedding ring i need to do with 5 1.5mm diamonds (never done it before - just waiting for my gravers to be delivered 😮

Thank you so much for sharing, I’m using brass sheets, and I have to say it’s so difficult to even put a dent in it with my engravers

You can do it! But yes, it certainly takes a bit of effort that's for sure!

Thanks for the vid! I've been working on my flush settings, and I think it's time to sharpen up the gravers and try a bead setting!

Oh how lovely! I want to learn this setting…it’s time for me to go to my jewelry school, Lucy Walker Jewelry Academy, now! I love your very robust jewelry academy; you’ve got soooo many different things to learn and ALL the resources one would need. I love how you roll, Ms. Lucy (in the sky)!!! 👩🏼🎨🌵🔨

First time this brand newby has seen bead setting. Hypnotic watching you work Lucy, and I was thinking that the beads would look ugly around the stone, but what a beautiful finish there. So impressed. Cant wait to try it. Materials on their way. I've seen a few videos of yours now. Sub'd.

What a stunning setting! I only started flush setting a week ago and have no gravers yet, nor any knowledge of how to use them. Any videos to recommend for beginners for using gravers, types and purposes of the various tips?

Great tutorial/video. What is the tool (name, size or #) you’re using to push the beads over the stone?

What is the name of the tool that you use to round out the beads? The first half of this video is great, but I'm most interested about the bead settings and wish that info wasn't skipped over!
