Bridgerweight only exists in the eyes of the WBC. Therefore every other governing body has to see Okolie's last fight as a heavyweight contest - so as a former Cruiserweight champion who's now 1-0 as a Heavyweight - you can argue he does deserve a high ranking. The WBC however - surely cannot rank him at all as a Heavyweight as he's never fought as one as far as they see it.

Lawrence ranking is deserved. Any world champion at the weight below gets highly ranked when they move up. If he can get a soft touch like someone like a Charles Martin then he may well become a 3 weight world champion. One things for sure and thats Frank Warren will deliver him a shot.

Imagine if when all them junior/super divisions came about and they no longer got their shots in the weights above cos of the same mentality. Might not like bridger but end of the day it's a division and the champ can and should be ranked when moving up even if the division isn't one that's strictly necessary. Plus when u look at the wbc top 10 outside of the top 5 it's not exactly the strongest so while I don't think he shpuld he 5th somewhere around the upper parts of the top 10 is fine
