I truly miss visiting castles and such through the National Trust. Grateful for the dedication to saving British history both architecturally and historically.

Thank you very much for such a compact, comprehensive and concise video on Ludlow Castle and it's long and rich history and it's owners. Only just found your channel this week and have subscribed on the strength of what I've seen already, means a lot watching videos like this as I'm disabled and sick and can't get to places so easily, so people like you and channels like this are my way of seeing all these wonderful places of interest, history, amazing architecture and scenic backdrops and making my day. 😊❤🏰🌳⚔🏹🛡

I' fond of your history! Amazing video. Thank you, thank you very much. I ' ve never been to Ludlow but want to see so awesome place. Pity, that the castle is in so sad condition, never the less, is stillreally impressive.

I went to school nearby in the late 1970s. Every year the Royal Shakespeare Company performed around September time in the castle. The top performers in English were taken by the school to watch the plays. I was always one of the ones chosen and it was an atmospheric thing to see, period costumed Shakespearean actors performing in the ruins of the castle.

Really interesting! I'm reading a bio of Prince Arthur Tudor & ofc Ludlow's a huge part of his story, but I only really know about Ludlow around that time & a bit earlier, other than that it was one of the old Welsh Marcher castles. So it was brilliant to hear some of its earlier & later history, & a bit about the Mortimer Earls of March before they married into the Plantagenets. I'm getting the impression the Welsh Marches & the Marcher Lords were pretty powerful & important, if not as much as the Scottish Borders & the Northern Earls.

@@TheUntoldPast Cool, I was wondering, but being Australian, I'm not as familiar with all the different British accents. Much more interesting than here; 90% of us have the same accent :D
