Ludovic-Mohamed Zahed wants an Islam that is more tolerant of the LGBTQ community. He’s fighting for gay Muslims to be able to live their lives openly without fear or shame.
Ludovic-Mohamed Zahed trained as an imam in Algeria. In his homeland he didn’t dare talk about being gay. It was only in Marseille, France that he came out. Zahed is the founder of France's first inclusive mosque and the CALEM Institute in Marseille, where he trains new imams in a more progressive Islam. Same-sex marriages are taboo in Islam, but Zahed wants to break new ground. He’s not afraid to circumvent this taboo and bless the marriages of LGBTQ couples. A report by Simon Laurens and Susanna Dörhage.

In islam that act is sinful that degrades ur character , ur thinking , ur righteousness, ur moral judgement power. Such acts which takes away the power of differentiating between good and bad is indeed not permissible or haram. Adultary is haram bcoze it destroys ur family bondings. Consuming alcohol ,drugs , and things that can make u unconscious is haram. But if such things are part of medicatipn that is necessary as remedial measure then it is permissible. Smoking is haram. Excess pooling of wealth by cheating , deceit is haram. Taking interest on savings and not giving alms to needy is haram. Not taking care of ur parents , not loving them , and arguing with them is great sin. Disregarding the rights of ur neighbours ,ur wife,ur kids or ur brothers from ur community is haram. Killing an innocent is one of major sin. Speaking lie , making wrong accusations against someone , backbiting is haram. And much more amounts to sin. Islam is solution for self reformation , self correction. Making urself close to god and his prophet. Islam is there to bring equality, justice , peace and prosperity in society. Indulge urself into praying allah , spreading his message, letting others know the oneness of god and truthfulness of his messengers , serving the society , the weak , the downtrodden, and those who r receiving abuse of others. I saw something like a TED talk where the person explains that a mother who goes through difficulty/stress/life threatening experience while pregnant will very likely result in male children being gay. The thought is that nature makes a human who is more emotionally empathetic as well as unable/not interested in having children with women in order for the current family not to be over burdened by new offspring. The gay male will be more helpful in keeping the current family taken care of without making more children. So, even in the womb people are gay.

Somehow people can't separate the fact that there's a God from the concept of religion. Having a spiritual connection to God is incredibly important for us humans, because we grow depressed & feel incomplete without some form of spirituality. I definitely think we should leave religion behind in the dustbin of history, but at the same time I also wish that people found their connection to God outside of dogma. After all science proves the existence of God better than religion ever could!
