This will always be my favourite piano song. Ludovico, you saved my life: Six years ago, when I was 13 yo, I was very unhappy with my life, almost falling into depression trying to avoid my life by playing video games (I was that unhappy that I didn’t even care if I was going to be alive next day or not). I had not many friends, I wasn’t good with girls, sucked at sports and my grades were okay, but I always failed English subject (I am from Spain). One day, my parents sat and chatted with me “Hey Alex, we have been saving money since you were born for this. We know you are struggling to pass English and we believe it’s important to learn to speak English for your future. If you want, we can send you to study to USA and live with a host family for a year. I accepted. And the only reason I accepted was because I felt things couldn’t go worse, so I had to try. I remember the first day I arrived there. An insecure 14 yo facing a new world of fears and challenges. I didn’t speak English, my host family didn’t care much about me and I had to get used being alone. It was very hard. When you are living overseas alone and you have a good day, you don’t have anybody to celebrate it. When you have a bad day, you have nobody to cheer you up, and trust me, those days hurt twice. One day, I was walking in the street and heard this song playing in a public piano. I fell in love with it and told myself I will learn it. Since that day, I went to the school choir room to practice by myself during the school free time. Three months later, I finally learnt the whole song. I remember sending a video to my parents of me playing this song and they cried. I understand why they cried, they finally saw their son could do something good and useful. Since that day, my whole life changed. I had an epiphany and I understood that the world is not gonna change for me, the only way to feel a change in my life was by changing myself. That day I promised myself I wasn’t going to be unhappy and wasn’t going to cry during nights anymore . That day I decided it was the moment to become a new Alex. Then, I started facing my fears, going to the gym, reading books, talking to girls and finding more hobbies. Nowadays I love my life, I am living in Australia by myself building my own business, meeting people from around the world and improving myself every single day. Remember guys, there are two only important days in your life: the day you are born and the day you find the purpose you have been born for. And usually that purpose is inside you. I understood life is tough. Life is not going to be how you want it to be. Nobody owe you anything. People is not gonna change how they act to you if you don’t change first. But there is one good thing about life and this is that we can decide our acts, and those acts will take us to a place or to another, so it’s on us if we want to be happy or not. If we want to change our lives or not. “You who are passing by , I beg you to do something, to learn a new dance step. Something to justify your existence. Something that gives you the right to be dressed in your skin in your body hair. Learn to walk and to laugh because it would be too senseless, after all, for so many to have died, while you live doing nothing with your life.” Auschwitz survivor Charlotte Delbo For those who want to hear my cover of this song, I have a video of me playing it a few years ago. Look for “Nuvole Bianche Alejandro Lozano” Love you mom and dad. Thank you Ludovico, you saved my life. Alejandro Lozano

Inspiradora historia. Felicidades Alejandro y saludos.

I just wanna say that your music is so amazing! Lately I've stopped listening to secular music due to religious and personal reasons and so I've been trying to find music that is good for the soul. That's when I found this sort of music. I used to play the piano when i was in high school, but had a spinal cord stroke at 11 years ago when I was 17, which paralyzed me and made my fingers unable to play. I've gotten much better dexterity in my left hand and fingers and so I started playing music again on my mom's piano by recording the left hand part and then playing the right hand part with my left hand as the left hand part plays back on the piano. I still am far from perfect and need to practice a lot more so I'm looking into buying my own piano to practice every day. I'm hoping to eventually be able to play this kind of music that you play. Maybe one day I will upload myself playing to youtube someday. Thank you for such amazing music! Take care and may God bless you and your music. :)

as a young piano player going on to his 2nd year of teaching, hearing this song has inspired me to change my perspective in what piano is. I just have to say thank you. because of you, I wouldn't have been able to feel such a strong passion. it's clear now that piano is an obvious career path for me now. I may not be famous in the future but nothing will ever hold me back from playing piano. I still have instruments that I want to learn such as flute and cello when I'm in highschool, but right now, I am putting everything towards my piano. knowing that people care, have a passion, and put their soul in the music, such as you, makes me know I can be what and who I will be later on! I've listened to this repeatedly and memorized the song. Thank you for motivating me. You will be known as the person who shaped me to be who I've always wanted to be.

All I can picture with this song is a beautiful love story. In the beginning you have two people who spot each other within a crowed room, they start getting to know each other and then it goes into them going on dates and you see the process of them falling in love. Then when it slows down you see them at the alter saying their I do’s. When it speeds up you see a whirlwind of their life together from buying their first place, having kids, sending them off to school. When it slows down it goes back to them being older and looking at each other with even more love for one another than they first started. Towards the end it goes to their new life of being alone once again and sharing all the loving moments they had while growing old together. That’s legit what I picture when I listen to it with my eyes closed. 😍😍😍

Each evening and every Sunday i'm passing by here to listen this cover performed by you Alexander. Thought I love the original version performed by the Master Einaudi, let me say that your cover has something very very special which is like a magnet to me and I'm healed and feed by your music. I love very much the way you made it, just the word love is not enough to contain and save all the feelings which you filled in. I admire you and your talent with all my positive energy. Also I really really like the record which is in black and white. It gives a touch of elegance and finest class. Listening you and watching attentively your hands, it's sharp and clear to me that you are not in a rush as many other covers might be on Ludovico's tracks. You indeed enjoyed the trip or voyage that his music is often able to offer.. with immense return of pure harmony. I wish you to continue on this genuine talent man, you deserve to be appreciated. Those which talk for free, will ever exist and will always just blindly envy you :-) ;-) - Congrats again! Diego

@DabigCheese666- please don't say my timing is off. Rephrase to "I don't like your timing". This is music, feelings. There's no correct way to play it.

It sounds incredible. And don't even listen to anyone who says otherwise.

I hate to break it to you... but in music, there is a wrong way to play it. Music is not just feelings, it happens to be a carefully crafted piece of art. Please do not discount the composer's hard work. I'm sure he would not appreciate that. That being said, I don't know what this person is talking about that your timing is off other than at 3:00 for a very short time. I only say this because I've played this piece, taught it, analyzed it, all in the past year... Keep up the good work.

Gilbert Armenta ... and my version of it is my own, played with my emotions. I don't have to play it like he does. You're taught something about music. I just play it. Please don't pull musical theory down upon my magical candyfloss land of wonders. I just play because I enjoy it. That being said, thank you! :)
@JuyoNi11 жыл бұрын
***** I seriously tell my students that all the time. As an interpreter you get to speak for people long dead. It's such an incredible feeling to hear the words of someone's heart come out of your hands. But hey... My art is a lost one.
@OldMrJake11 жыл бұрын
***** , i understand your point of view, but i fail to accept it, Alexander is right, music is you, when playing another composers piece, You can play it how you wish, you don't become them, you are yourself, you play as yourself, and how you feel it. I am a pianist, purely from the heart, i can't read music, i have no music theory, i am a self taught pianist, and i am 16. I am living proof that music is how you feel it, maybe some prefer to play how the original composer wrote the music, but others prefer to make it their own. There is nothing wrong with copying them exactly, but there is also nothing wrong with playing how you wish.

Alexander Flemming, I think you played perfectly, I don't think playing piano is about getting all the notes correct, it's about the emotion you pass, and I felt it. Thanks!

this is a beautiful song, i’ve been trying to learn it since my grandmother showed me this once before she passed. i’ve been searching for it for so long, and this came up in my recommended earlier this week. i’ve been taking time to learn it every chance i get but when i get farther into the song i start to cry. she only showed me it once, but she loved it to death bc it was the song my grandfather played nearly every morning when he was alive. i miss them both, this reminded me of the life i miss so deeply. i just wish she could hear me play this for her

I'm Italian, and I'm tired of knowing that many, too many people think that Italian music is Gigi d'Agostino. I am proud of Ludovico einaudi and the fact that he is Italian. Italy wants great artists, painters, architects and sculptors. And white clouds is an excellence of Italian music, as well as "divenire" and or "una mattina"

I play by ear and there are few notes on the right hand and a few of the left hand finger progressions that aren't the same as the published song by Mr. Einaudi. It may be that Mr. Einaudi improvised from his formal sheet music for his studio recording, and that sheet music is what this guys is playing. I'm teaching myself the song as published so I recognize the different (if not incorrect) notes.
