I’ve used Ludwig since 1968. Shared the stage with Chambers Brothers, Vanilla Fudge, Mitch Ryder, Question Mark and the Mysterians, Grateful Dead and Ludwig is the absolutely top of the line drum set. No other set comes close. Singerland is another favorite of mine. All the others sound like banging on trash cans. Ludwig has a true sound. All my 8 cymbals are ZILDJIANS. I can imagine why anyone would use any other cymbals. It is beyond me. I know several top drummers who gave me the same answers to my question. “ I get them free to use them or I get paid to use them”. Ok, I get it. I was given cymbals from one company to try during a concert in Springfield MA. After the 3rd song I had one of our tech crew take it off the stage.
