Great choice of finish and sizes! If I may, when I had my Ludwigs, I found it more “feng shui” to align the wrap seams on the hoops with the wrap seams on the bass drum shell, rather than hiding them under bass drum claws, one I couldn’t conceal due to the length of the wrap compared to the position of the lugs. They are your drums, of course, so whatever works for you! Cheers!

Sounds great George! I can see you're genuinely happy with the kit and its sound. Aesthetically for me, I think since the batter heads are white, the front bass drum head should be white as well with maybe a black glitter PFOZ logo. That would be cool and classy looking IMHO. Enjoy those bad boys! Gonna go play mine now!
@BONHAMOLOGY3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm still on the fence about the reso. I agree, but I also like the look of this and thought the contrast of a white or silver logo would offset it nicely.
@ccdrums12903 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that would look cool too.....if the PFOZ logo was large enough to really accentuate the glittery silver to enhance the overall look. Just one man’s opinion though. 😁 Something else to think about as well is if you do end up adhering that disc to your reso head, it won’t be as noticeable, if at all, with the black head.

@BONHAMOLOGY Жыл бұрын
They are great! I love em. They are for lack of a better term, more new sounding. A bit brighter, they are very clear, not as warm as the vintage 3 plus, but I really like the contrast they provide, compared to the vintage. I wonder if the vintage kits sounded more like this when they were new. I do think the heavier rims, and gaskets affect the sound. Though I'm not sure how. The vintage shells sound a bit more airy but warmer to me.
