Experienced this first hand last Saturday, and totally eye opening. The presenter (it was a private setting) stated that when he performs the same experience in a forest, hook up to older trees and play different musics. The trees actually response with sending different bio-electrical signals and produce different music when the outside music change. Truly Amazing!

In my imagination it's look like she is telling a history about life and everything. All the years she past. Sometimes it looks sad and sometimes, sometimes happy. Also its like she understands and forgives us from what we are doing here. She's asking some questions, Maybe giving some advices. "I've been here for a long time, and we have a knowledge from a long long era, the cycle of everything is perfect when connected with god, individuality is a mistake, so after all, we learned that in the end what matters is your connection with god and everything, its the only way to stay here."

I'm beyond excited to try this. Have you ever gotten more than one plant together, and do the make music with each other? And is this able to be done live, and do the plants know that they are giving humans enjoyment through their music? And do they respond to that? Is the plant who is performing one that you've had a long relationship with? How long does it take for a plant to learn to play music?.... This is so freaking exciting!

They say that plants that "have more experience" with music can influence other plants in the process.I had a striking experience while I was rehearsing for a performance in which I was playing live also with a plant and after some times in a studio with me at the piano, at some point the plant began to respond to my phrases by imitating them.I believe that this is a preliminary step that will evolve into a much deeper communication between species.Hope this answer is useful. Cheers

The original electrical signal from the plant is a kind of variation in the electric activity of the plant itself and it occurs when they respond to external events. You can look on youtube for a video called "singing plants at Damanhur". You will see the device and the place where they build it and make these experiments with plants. It is a fascinating field of research and I got in touch with them some time ago. Blessings :-)

Hi. Thank you for carefully explaining how you get the beautiful etheric music from the plant. What kind of music program is that and what is a U1 machine? Someone should make and sell a simple device that would do this for regular non-technical, non-musical folks. I would love to have one if it was affordable. Does anyone make and sell those? I wonder what a pine tree or a eucalyptus tree would sound like and all kinds of plants and trees? It would be interesting to hear the difference. And, maybe everything in nature, like a mountain or a lake would have their own, unique musical sounds too. Maybe the whole of the earth, the sun, the moon, planets and stars sing their part of the song celestial, just like these angelic plants. I like your Anthurium improvisation. This is beautiful what you are doing. Thank you. Dan
@SoundOfGoldenLight8 жыл бұрын
Hi, the U1 is actually very easy to use and it has sounds of its own, so you do not necessarily need and external software like the one I use. And it is available for purchase. You can find information here: www.musicoftheplants.com/en/ Cheers!

so what does it sound like when the frequencies of plant life are not adjusted to a musical scale but rather simply adjusted, equally, to fit within our audible frequency range? and does the plant actually produce a "song" within the 432hz reference vs. 440hz or something completely different? does its true song mathematically produce pitches divisible into whole numbers or complete geometric forms?
@the_natrix99598 жыл бұрын
any progress with different experiments on this?
@SoundOfGoldenLight8 жыл бұрын
HI Nathan, I can only answer you question hypothetically. I use the U1 device for the music of the plants and I am an artist rather than an electronic engineer. The device sends an electrical current through the plant and measures the impedance. To various degrees of resistance, it assigns different MIDI notes. Now I guess that building a similar device that will not restrict the electrical signals to the notes of a musical scale is no big deal, but it is not my plan to do so. You would basically and up with a greater variety of pitch. Regarding the 432 Hz: I tune it that way because I am interested in producing music with this tuning. The U1 device by default is tuned at 440Hz. I hope this answers your question. I apologize for the late reply, but sometimes I miss updates from google. If you would like to know more about 432Hz tuning here is an article I recently wrote: soundofgoldenlight.com/432-hz/ You can also check my playlist "music of the plants" here: kzbin.info/aero/PLaDwpd3_M3PAHRi7i9ptE1e6Ma6YZkgrI Cheers

Hi, I enjoyed this very much. I´ve checked out your website and projects and I have a question. Can you tell us the names of the devices and type of tech used to record this. It would be very helpful to many people checking out your work, and it would lead to a greater understanding of plants if you explained the recording process. Otherwise you run the risk of people not having the ability to check and study this further, or, worst case scenario for you, they regard the validity of your work as bogus. Transparency is everything when you´re expressing your own truth.

Tina Lara Well its been about 3 weeks now, i cant be 100% sure because its my first time growing this kind of plant BUT it has grown much much bigger AND quicker than i had expected. Even my mum (who lives in the garden with her flowers) said that the plant had grown very quickly. It was out of the soil and had 6 leaves within 4 days! The plant is fully green, no yellow or black spots, very very healthy looking, tall, many leaves (growing daily) and ye, thats about it, i cant be 100% if it was the music or just a good seed but maybe ill grow two more and experiment with playing it for one and not the other. My gut instinct here is tho that the music has helped a lot

Are the plants responsible for the different notes played?
@SoundOfGoldenLight10 жыл бұрын
Well, the answer is yes and no... They can't really "choose" the tones as these are fixed in the equal temperament when de device translate into MIDI. But, in my understanding, the electronic conversion conveys the feeling of "how this communication would sound like if it were in music". It is also true though that when the plants are exposed for a long time to "their sound", they start responding to that. They probably become aware of the correspondence between what they are doing and the sounds they hear, and they respond to that.
@Dhakadice10 жыл бұрын
The Sound of Golden Light Did you use any rhythm quantization, scale correction, etc? If you didn't, then I applaud the plant's knowledge of scales and ability to use consistent note lengths. If you did, then that explains why it sounds so musical, since a machine did the actual composing, based on musical rules.

Hi, I have not used quantization, but the device is in fact selective in terms of notes. The old model that I used in this recording had 2 options: chromatic and major scale. In these recording I have used a major scale. Maybe on more recent models there will be more options. In my understanding the device places the electrical value on the closest note in the set scale during the conversion to MIDI. I am sure that someone with a more technical mind (maybe the ones who build the device) could explain better.

I play this for my plants...I imagine they love it as much as I do. :) thankyou. Can you explain, how do you capture the sounds from the plants? Are these frequencies they are emitting? Also, were these house plants or outdoor plants? curious for more info on how you created this. thank you again. lovely.
