The Tyranids could possibly be seen as a “post sentient” race. They posses purpose, but without angst or a need for a why. Closest other race would be the Orks, though they do posses ambition, which oft times impedes them in pursuit of their goals.

It's so weird that Tyranids kinda get pushed aside from the Lore with the idea that Chaos is the all powerful unseen threat. I just love the idea that the current Tyranid "invasion" is just the Tyranids probing around being like "mind if I just poke my head around here" how crazy it would be when the real invasion begins when the 'Nids just say "Fk it, eat em all"
@deepflake92143 жыл бұрын
About every race has this lore where they can be the "Ultimate ans most powerful ones" of 40k. The orks would be the most powerful if they could unite. The Tyranids could be the most powerful if they all stormed the milky way. Chaos would be the most powerful if the 4 Gods stopped playing the Great Game and united to conquer the Galaxy. Mankind would be the most powerful if the Emperor could walk and speak again. Even the Tau would storm the Galaxy if they finally learned about the Warp and mastered warp travel, etc. This is just a way to make every race appealing to the players and keeping the lore full of potential and exciting
@Gorlamii.3 жыл бұрын
@William King you mean like the necrons who just got a full rework? It isn't always just space marines.
@henryviiifake82443 жыл бұрын
If the Tyrannids invade _for real_ the Orks almodt immediately would be attracted to all that *Good Fightin™* which could lead to a WAGH. That, in turn would lead to the Orks rapidly upgrading themselves, potentially until they re-evolve into their original Krork forms. But if there are that many Tyranids, they might wake up the Necrons, who are their natural counter. Wouldn't that be crazy: Krork and Necrons, an aggressive yeast and emo androids. Former enemies now side-by-side vs overconfident ants? 🤣
@alexanderthegreat66823 жыл бұрын
After reading the replies I can just imagine a chain of events where all of the factions awaken. The Tyranids start committing to a full invasion, the orks unite, the Tau unlock the secrets of the Warp, the Eldar free themselves from Slaanesh's influence I guess? This triggers a mass awakening of Necron Tomb-Worlds and the Chaos Gods realizing, "oh shit, stuff is getting serious now." The Emperor finally enacts his mysterious plan and returns alongside the Primarchs to lead the Imperium into a new Golden Age. Did I miss anything?

Words can't truly express how much I love this channel. Like wow! Found this last year during the height of lockdown. I've played some of the video games but thats about it. The level of detail you add is of the highest order. Each episode feels like a full documentary and ALWAYS holds my attention hostage. The lore of warhammer simply blows my mind! I really hope we soon see more anime and live action shows covering this universe. We need more dark, war, loss filled stories. Aka the entire warhammer 40k universe LOL. Ughhhhhh!

Im super pumped to get a tyranid deep dive, they are why I got into 40k. My dad would play space hulk with me when I was little and let me just throw waves of genestealers at him until I killed his space marines, so I could win and he could still go all out. A few years ago I got curious what those space bugs where from and proceeded to watch every video luetin had made.

I enjoy the idea that Rippers can grow into other variants of Tyranids because it makes them a much more useful organism for infiltration. Deploying them alongside a genestealer vanguard means they could be triggered by the Brood Mind to metamorphize into tunneling organisms if the cult needs more mobility or mining capabilities - but could just as easily be triggered into a carnifex for breaking into fortified orbital laser defense systems, or if the cult is discovered early and they need more numbers: hormagaunts and warriors to lead them. The concept of suddenly having to face down an entire Tyranid invasion force without any of the oncoming warning signs of a Tyranid fleet really increases the paranoia they can inflict over the entire galaxy. Also if you take it to the most extreme - you could have a conquered world producing new narvhal ships that allow the tendrils to make very sudden and unexpected leaps across entire regions of space to bypass readied defense forces!

I was so pleased to see a new leutin Tyranid for the next painting session and then the added bonus that it's part 1. They are my favourite faction in 40k they represent the brutal and uncaring nature of reality. They kill not to uphold since noble creed nor for vengeance or sadistic pleasure but only to feed and survive as cold and destructive as a black hole.
@Hivetrive Жыл бұрын
It would be awesome if there was a scenario in which tyranids are the defenders. They always are the invader. I d love to know how their flesh versions of bunkers or orbital defense would Look like. Maybe they have planet sized super creatures, which birth the bioships.

@@Hivetrive I just love the image of a massive Capitol ship surrounded by what looks like a swarm of small ships, but upon closer inspection each ship is large enough to threaten extinction on weaker planets. This whole cloud of biomass hurling through space into our galaxy, sending out scouts that we have seen so far.
@randomcenturion72643 жыл бұрын
That thing about the Rippers actually really scares me. Imagine the Hive Mind knows, "Right, we're not gonna win this one today. Take what Biomass we can to nullify our losses and move on." But they really leave the Rippers behind on a now very weakened world to whittle away at it further, so the time the Tyranids return to finish the job, they'll have no possibility of loss. It's the equivalent of a kommodo biting you, waiting for it's venom to take hold, then devour your weakened body.
