Even if they would not be the endgame, its fun shipping them. I find their interactions cute and wholesome in the anime and manga. They got chemistry as well in the live action.I know their age gap in real life is big but still I shipping the characters not the actors themselves. It means they're good actors cause they portray their relationship and you can feel through watching them that there is chemistry. I know a lot would say no romance between strawhats then don't watch the video. Its your choice.

In the story it’s really fun bc although it’s not directly mentioned nami is only 2 years older than nami. Luffy is 17 and nami is 19 years old. If you watch the anime or manga. But there’s no romance between the strawhats it’s all friendship

Though I know it won't be canon due to Oda apparently not wanting romance between the Crew, I still like shipping them. They have fantastic chemistry in live live-action and I could see them easily getting together in an alternate universe where romance happens between the Straw Hats.

I love their relationship a lot and who knows, maybe oda just said that so that netflix wont spoil the finale and just to avoid the romance while the series is still ongoing. i still have hopes they’ll be canon. and if they’re not, it’s still fine because their relationship is the most special bond for me and that’s all that matters to me.
