The fact that kizaru was laying there defeated in the marine ship tells you how strong luffy in gear 5 really is, when 2 years ago luffy told everyone to run from him.

I think he “faked” a little bit. I mean, in a pure 1v1 is a close fight, and Luffy may even win, but I’m 100% sure Kizaru didn’t fought in full power. As we saw, this is a won for Luffy, but with a full-power Kizaru the fight would have been closer than most people think. Admirals and Emperors are, more or less, equal in strength. An exception is Akainu, who won Vs Aokiji and is clairly a little bit stronger that an Admiral or an average Emperor, and it’s right considering Akainu will be a later villain to defeat, and the powerscales in Shonens go higher deeper we go.

@@a.carnevale4910he forsure did fight full power… but he’s a lot more durable than he seems. The reason why he stayed down was because he was grieving that he had to kill his only real friend. He could have gotten up and continued to fight, but he’d still get slammed for a 4th time regardless.

Yeah I've mentioned a number of times that my audience are those who are into Japanese dub but don't really understand Japanese. And I've tried to use AI voices but it was too robotic/fake. So instead, I use random dialogues from the anime that fits the scene. If you understand Japanese, it's definitely weird to watch
