People clown on Sanji, but he is really only insufferable because of how Toei handles it. Problematic, yes. Its not as badly portrayed in the manga. Also, look at how Zoro and Luffy handle themselves here vs Sanji, he sees the big picture in ways the other two are just too simple for. No hate to them, but Mr. Prince has a certain amount of tact and decision making that is leader material. He'd just rather be stealthy in the darkness. All the pieces of the crew are well formatted to work in tandem to have individual strengths and weaknesses to compensate for the others. Zoro getting lost or stuck is kind of divine providence to compensate for when he is, and needs to be, lucky.

Sanji is a fantastic character, but most of the fandom does agree his simp/pervert trope is really horrible honestly. Chopper is fantastic through this bit along with Nami Also Lucci?! On fraud watch? He handed Luffy and Zoro their asses lol
