Lufthansa's CityLine operates a dense European Regional network from Lufthansa's Frankfurt and Munich hubs. The subsidiary was established in 1992 and currently has a fleet of 50 aircraft and a workforce of 2,300 employees. CityLine has destinations in 22 countries across Europe.
I spent my morning relaxing in Frankfurt Airport's Panorama Lounge, accessible by my business class ticket which cost $100 to upgrade. Although the flight time to Geneva was only 45 minutes, the crew managed to squeeze in a full meal service along with drinks and snacks!

Thank you for sharing your trip to Geneva by way of Frankfurt. That was nice to take a shower at the lounge there to get refreshed and to have breakfast. That was nice on your flight you had the seat next to you free. I have not flown on CJRs for a few years now! I hope your hotel stay was nice at the Warwick. One little remark to Frankfurt airport. It was the military airport after the war for the American army and slowly American airlines came accross the pond to pick up soldiers and their families. Then Lufthansa got back their licence to fly and opted for Frankfurt. Slowly but surely this hub grew and became our largest hub troughout the last 60 years. The infrastructure was enhanced then and so F is today what it is.

I had a different experience. I flew on a cityline flight in business and the front 4 rows were business (larger seats, more legroom). Rest was identical with your experience

Hello QFS. Interesting video. The Lufthansa CityLine CRJ900 aircraft's seat comfort level reminds me of Air Transat's A319s - not comfortable at all. Liked the video shots of the B747s on the tarmac and being towed. Surprising the size of meal they gave you for such a short flight. When at all possible, I try to fly on wide-bodied aircraft (either in Premium Economy or Business Class) due to the space limitations on both the seats and the onboard restroom. Keep up the good work!

The CRJ 900 are the smallest Aircrafts of the whole Lufthansa Group. They usually fly short haule feeder fligths from the two Lufthansa Hub´s Frankfurt and Munich to destinations where an A 319 is too big - the flights with the CRJ 900 of the CityLine are lasting seldom longer than an hour.

There are passengers that do not have the time to waste at n aircraft lounge, in particular, when you know you have a busy afternoon and important meetings before taking another flight back home to end your working day. So the lunch meal is a welcome treat to catch two birds with one stone.

Announcements are usually made in the Native Language of the Airline and in English - English as the common language passengers will usually understand who wouldn´t understand announcements e.g. in German.

I was flying several times on this CRJ-9, always Business. Everytimer I was glas about sitting alone, because there is really small space. I'm have nearly 2 Meters and so it's very hard, even on Business. I call this plane "Metal box"
