Love this one! The dissolves between segments, the bathroom features, comments, wing view, and for the first time, some nice reflections of the cameraman obscured by the camera in the video screen, but showing a good haircut! I always enjoy your stuff, and I want one of those shirts.

I'm so jealous. Lived in Europe for 3 years. I so miss traveling like that; would love to go back. But your videos are the next best thing. Everybody I know who's flown Lufthansa had great things to say about it, even in economy. My husband flew from Frankfurt to Thessalonica and they gave him little footies so he could walk around the cabin without having to put his shoes back on. Sad that foreign airlines are now so much nicer than the American ones. Plenty of room and in-flight movies and music that we used to have. Getting there on an American airline used to be half the fun. Now God help you if you didn't bring your MP3 or a good book. How do you handle the constant jet lag?

Amandeuce Delta's shit. I just flew with them to Orlando from Salt Lake City, and they wanted to charge me for every little fucking thing. There was no meal service on my MCO to LAX leg of my trip. It was $8 for a lousy turkey sandwich, and $8 for a cocktail. Fuck that!

JMMT7022801 Unfortunately all the airlines nickel and dime you to death anymore. When the price of airplane fuel (as every other kind of fuel) went through the roof, they had to make their money back, but people weren't willing to pay the difference, so they had to make up the money from somewhere. It was either that or double their ticket prices. Now that fuel prices have come down (and hopefully will stay there) they see no need to do away with those surcharges because people are more into convenience and won't drive or take the train. If the trip is 8 hours or less, we drive.

I've always wanted to fly airlines like Lufthansa and Emirates, especially since I found out that Lufthansa flies the 747-8 to Washington-Dulles (I live in Baltimore, ~2hrs driving to get to IAD), but I can't because since my Dad's salary is funded by the US gov't, we can only fly on US carriers. And I have lots of experience on Delta. You're lucky if theirs any IFE at all. AirTran offered a great experience in business class, but I don't know if Southwest will keep it up. My only experience on a foreign carrier was with Air France on their a380 from DC on a school trip. By far the airline I've ever flown on. Their economy class is better than any thing I'd ever been on, and it was better than AirTran's business class. The food was great, IFE was like a technological breakthrough compared to US carriers, and I actually fit in their economy class (I'm 6'2", and US carriers don't cater to us tall people without making us pay extra). I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I love flying on Lufthansa and try to go on the Airbus 330/340 to get the 2-4-2 seats and I sit by the window. I have flown on their A 380 747-400 Airbus 340 and Airbus 320. I love how they give you a full bar in economy class such as Campari normally served in First Class on other airlines. I love their MediaWorld as well. I will be flying with them again from Barcelona-Munich-Vancouver and United to San Francisco this April after a Trans Atlantic Cruise from Sao Paulo-Barcelona.

Very nice video, Amandeuce! Thanks for the shout-out. Yes, the towel in economy just isn't the same as in business & first, right? The food actually looked very good in economy. the other thing that was nice was that the flight was less than 7 hours. When it is that short, it's actually no problem being in economy. That's just a little bit longer than flying JFK-SFO, so it really isn't too bad at all. Very nice video. I liked the transitions and the video! Great job!

I love the little lights that were right on the wing. I know I sound silly but I didn't know that boeing came up with a new 747. I heard rumors that they were going to stop the 747 production. But I absolutely love the new 747. I found the pillow scene quite funny

GOEFFEL, or SPORK, in english! economy on the lufthansa 747-8 looks better than most domestic carriers here. you had a great window view of the boeing flaperon too. i love that thing.

This is a very good video. I especially like your captions. I flew into FRA two times; once on a 747-400, another on an A340-600, both Lufthansa. The airline provides excellent service, but the FRA airport was not so good; difficult to transfer from C to A, and then A had almost no toilets!!

Breakfast on most carriers(Especially European airlines) can sometimes be disappointing. In July, I flew KLM to Amsterdam from IAD, and all they served was a breakfast bar, a plastic container with OJ in it, and some yogurt.

Last time I made a comment on a speed of the A 330 on the flight from Chicago to Dusseldorf , many people told me I am an idiot , that the plane can not fly at 1130 km/h , you were going even faster , hahahaha , I guess , some people don't understand the physics of a flight with a strong tail wind.Now , you just proved me right ....Great video........

Lufthansa is my fav airline, i have more than 32,000 miles with them. My last flight out of Frankfurt Mar 23, 2014 was rather much a disappointment with the entire security force going on strike no flights left that day giving me an overnight stay when It was only supposed to be a 2-3 hour layover from Dubai.

I request the Kosher Meal on Lufthansa(not for religious purposes) and have gotten some amazing Chicken. For breakfast I was given a bagel with Egg and smoked Salmon and a warm chocolate cake(rugulah) and it was delicious. They also serve excellent meals from Germany as they use a local caterer that only produces the Kosher meals. Their Sparkling Wine is great as is the Warsteiner Beer, Bitter Lemon, Gin and Tonic the list goes on.

Ive flown before but it was just 20 years ago until going from BHX-FRA (A321)then FRA-IAD on the 747 800,(10/12/17) I was a bit disappointed at the lack of room but being as I'm a 22.5 stone bloater it was actually OK on reflection. Didn't have Hangover III though :( . I think my return Jumbo was D-AYBJ . Had a worrying vibration on take off which I later learned was probably the wheels spinning after take off.

When I was on a Lufthansa flight they gave us a breakfast box type of thing (kind of like how they give the lunches....), yogurt, several different types of cheese and a bun. It was so good but I got full from it all haha ^_~

Great job! Your experience on the 747-8 was a get one, and I feel that the 747-8's design is way better than the A380! I still love the 747, even after SQ retired their last 744s last Apr. And you're also very lucky to see the ANA 787 Dreamliner at FRA! I've never seen it in person before, even though ANA, Japan Airlines and Royal Brunei Airlines now fly their 787s to Singapore.

Great vid on the new Lufthansa 747-8i. Traveling to Chicago this month on LH430 - Hoping it'll be one of the gates with lounge boarding that day! Virtual slap to the maker though - Total travel fashion faux pas to wear trainers, I know they are comfortable, but seriously! Ha! ;)

You were "supersonic" :D (assume you were fling at 35000 ft, speed of sound was 660.7 mph or 1063 km/h. He had a 712 mph or 1146 km/h Ground speed. Of course that must be a very strong tail wind. 747-8 can only fly 0.86 Mach, it can never go over the speed of sound without damaging or destory the airframe.)

I like both pretty much! The A380 is still a bit bigger than the B747 and you can feel it onboard, but I really like how the B747 looks. Both planes are pretty nice to fly with!
