I rather like Lufthansa's livery. Easy to spot at a distance. Tasteful use of simple colors and neutrals. And that old Condor on the tail!

Yes, it all sounds like Ryanair. But compare both liverys... No, to different. A world airline has tradition, quality, steadiness, safety and an emotional part. That part is the feeling you get onboard. Hard to explain. I think, you have the right idea ! How about a blue stripe on the window line, limited with a thin yellow line on top and under it ?

This video shows one of the big differences between the 747-8 and the A380. With the 747-8, Boeing did all the work, assembling, testing AND painting.

U lucky...My father had a bike with a B 747 number plate. I was 3 when the bike was sold after his death. What remains is a spare number plate, happy enough to have that at least! :) Didnt know what a 747 was at that time.

I would not go so far to call it dull. It is a simple restained livery whth a very high recognition value. Lufthansa is one of the world leading airlines. They can´t fly around with a multi coloured playful livery. But maybe they could set another accent of any sort. I don´t know...

think of the case, carbon fiber gets tired and starts to scratch, that means a lot of service and a lot of extra fees.

I agree that KLM has a very nice sky blue colour. But titles and logo are boring. The Lufthansa "Kranich" (tail logo) is by far more beautiful. Aer Lingus looks quite nice. With the shamrock on the tail, nice green colour... Yes, it is a nice livery. BUT it doesn´t looks like a world leading airline. I can´t say why exactly. Maybe because it isn´t elegant enough. I like the LH-design from the 70-80´s. That design -a little bit updated- would be fine... What do you think ?

Shape-wise, the 747 is the better looking plane. The 380 looks like a bloated koi fish. Not saying anything bad about either plane, just esthetics !

There was nothing on the earth before like the A380. The A320 series was completely new. Fly-by-wire, wingtips, and so on! I like the design of the B747-8I , but the 747 concept is old. This is proven by the orders: B747-8I 33 / A380 253.

No doubt commets are full of Jingoistic nastyness RE: vs Airbus, as a committed Eurofile, I have to say the 747 is still king of the sky, Just the look of it with the high window it has an imperious face, the 747-8F is the most beautiful big aircraft in the sky today, The big airbus 380 I see one of Lutfy"s up close taxiing. on my morning flight into FRA from the transfer bus,its bloody impressive, but only its mother would call it beautiful

Not true, the 777-300 was the longest until the A340-600 surpassed it. The 747-8i is the current record holder.

i worked on boeing 777cargo door and A380 A330 ATR 42/72 really AIRBUS is the best ... i did't explain ... discretion in terms of the employment contract but I can say that AIRBUS A380 is the bigger after antonov 225 and more then 747

Its quite like the Ryanair tail,define a ''world airline''...Much More elegant than a white body grey bottom and blue and yellow tail,I hate white Liveries with titles so BORING,I don't really like that retro livery reminds me of the Alitalia one I prefer the Aer Lingus one very classy looking,Maybe if Lufthansa added some blue or yellow lines? They just come across as a dull airline to me
