i agree with hmoobcal. when folk singing especially to large crowds, please keep it short. we all have short attention spans. i love folk song and i am all business with folk song but i hate hearing long ones; i stop listening. if its on a cd, hell, sing it as long as you want. i sing folk song, and i make it a goal to sing under 6 minutes which is still too long for me. my advice would be to cut back on the wordiness; a folk song can be short and still be just as effective. just my opinion :)
