You are my hero. One of these days I’m going to accomplish a trip with just a backpack. I did almost go for 3 weeks in Asia, but had a very small suitcase too only because I didn’t think I could count on that backpack qualifying for carry-on. Couple of tips: little mini pill bags sold on Amazon for meds (or earrings). Also, I did use one of those travelon neck wallets…it was just enough for passport, phone, currency, and chapstick. Instead of a purse, one of those pretty pocket shopping bags does the trick. And I packed as much as possible in non-liquid forms (sunscreen, deodorant, and even those very small bars of shampoo and conditioner. Like you I will use the hotel stuff, but quite often there is no conditioner. And these little bars take up almost no room, they are good quality and will fit into those amazon mini bags. I noticed you didn’t pack a hat…I cannot manage without one🤗.

@@lbunnygordon1133 I do weigh my backpacking load out, but not travel stuff. So my best guess is 10-12 pounds. Without electronics, it would be far less.

Looks like you made it work! One tip I'd say is break up some stuff into smaller pouches and then you can squish and smoosh even better. Packing in a personal item bag is definitely easier for ladies who wear smaller sizes!

Love this! Question: how would you pack a minimalistic bag for vacation that you need to have an evening look for? So heels, a dress, and a sultry/darker eye/bold lip (I’m more of an eyeshadow kinda girl so I would love to see how you use your minimalistic collection to achieve that bc I’m considering going minimalistic with mine but am afraid since I love makeup so much). Hi! Great question and I have some advice. Firstly, I definitely would pack a carry-on for that (especially with heels). I just don't think it's doable in a personal item. Secondly, I would plan out my makeup look and only bring what is required for the full glam look. If you're someone who has small and large palettes, I would, for instance, try to make an eye look work with a small palette or individual shadows to save space. I also adore makeup! I am posting my 2023 minimalist makeup collection soon so stay tuned :) everyone also has different needs and wants so my version of minimalist might look small or large to you in the makeup department! Stay true to what you like while getting rid of excess!!!

Love your video! 😘 I am wondering though what bag you use during your vacation for everyday? Do you have an extra handbag, hip bag whatsoever? Or do you unpack your backpack and only use this large backpack?

Hi! So usually, I do bring a purse. In this case, I had to leave it at home so I would either empty my backpack (I like doing that anyways when I get to my air B and B/hotel) or simply just take my wallet (I think it's cute enough to look like a clutch!). I have a belt bag on my list because I'm going to be a momma in a few months and want to be hands free so I think that would be a good in between solution and easy to pack.

Some people wear a belt bag under their clothes to get on the plane. (I've heard Spirit and Frontier are quite picky.) I am a mom of two and at least like a string backpack to hold stuff on excursions or activity. They fold easily and take up no space. Plus we get free ones all the time.

It just gets wet and then you need to pack it and travel with it. It is very annoying. I find something disposable better for short travel trips!

Yes, this backpack does! My best tip though is to look up exact dimensions for the airline you are flying with. I quite literally measure my personal item/carry on every time I fly!
