I would say give it a chance. I loved breakingpoint once they fixed it. Also playing Outlaws now and I'm pretty addicted. I'm kind bummed about the lack of third person, but I love a big world and open objectives

​@@guerilla9one The thing is they found a new fanbase with Siege who favored comp shooter rather than tactical and this new fanbase is the majority of R6 fanbase currently. With Ghost Recon, it's different... safe to say that the new fanbase is also the majority of players but we're clear with what we want: open world third person tactical shooter focusing on Special Operations Missions and we want the game to be as gritty, as realistic as possible. If Ubislop fuck this one up, they'd have no playerbase in their game.

I know exactly what you mean. I love third person shooters too and don't want the new Ghost Recon to be a first person shooter only. However, I hope they give players the opportunity to optionally switch from first to third person so that all players get what they want.

To be fair, Ghost Recon WAS originally a first person shooter, so they wouldn’t exactly be diverging from their roots, but I agree in the sense that I do prefer the 3rd person swap option.

Isn't that what Rainbow Six is as well? Isn't GR1 just the military version of the first 3 mainline Rainbow Six games? Every other mainline GR game after GR1 has been 3rd person, so Ghost recon for the most part IS a 3rd person shooter with AI commanding features.

However, I don't understand how people can compare an open-world shooter with complete freedom of action to a story game with scripted missions. There should be options to switch between first and second person, modders proven it's not difficult. Open world and freedom to do mission as you see fit and when was great too. Replayability value huge in Wildlands and Breakpoint. I don't want them going backwards, just add better story

I agree with every word! Ubisoft just needs to listen carefully to their audience, get it right and step up. Some studios with much less resources have already proven that you can easily implement switching camera views from first to third with literally the press of a single key. So if Ubisoft wants to attract more players while not losing the franchise's loyal fans, they have to implement this in the new game.

First or third person view dont make or break games. investing into team mechanics is the only way of making a ghost recond great. mapping the direction you want your teams to approach a target like in the original ps2 ghost recon would make ghost recon top tier. at least use the same team mechanic from far cry 5. would make ghost recon a lot more enjoyable.

wildlands was the 1st open world game Ubi made and it was great especially with event challenges like the terminator and predator. It would be nice if they were persistent i creating a great open world but they messed up with breakpoint and made up for it later but by then it was already too late players started to drop. I do hope they will keep the mechanics from breakpoint which is better than wildlands. when UBI released wildlands i knew it was going to be a great addicting experience, I still play it and completed it several times and know it well. New players will never know the hidden guns unless they watch a vid about it including all easter eggs.

One problem i have with ghost recon, Bf, and cod is why is every round fired visible? Tracers are fine in mgs or if you can customize you magazine for rifles but when i see this in most games it loses that realistic feel.

What I don't like about Breakpoint is that the zoom levels of different scopes are just the same or almost no difference. You can't tell the difference in the zoom levels between the scope with the highest zoom level based on the description and a 4x scope.

I prefer first person but don't mind third person depending on the situation, which is why I prefer games that give you the option to switch between the two. What I don't like about third person though is the current trend to have the character offset instead of in the centre of the screen. They don't do it for the vehicles so why do it for the character?

Ubisoft and the Ghost Recon developers should get with me and some other veterans before making the next Ghost Recon. Not the one currently being developed, but the next one. We've got a lot of input on realism that if properly utilized, will lock their adult fanbase in for years. Then again, that level of realism might upset some fans. Doing this kind of stuff in real life isn't as easy as it looks on video games. But I think the right audience would appreciate the challenges.

The current fanbase is 90% tactical barbie and really really love role playing. Lack of realism means nothing to them

Hello. Thank you for your feedback! Yes, I would be nothing but happy with the increased level of realism in Ghost Recon. However, as some new shooters show - maximum realism is not always convenient in a shooter. Therefore, I think that a company like Ubisoft will definitely not go down the “realism above all else” path. It would be great if they make the survival and shooting mechanics realistic at least.

Judging by the crazy popularity of Battle Royale stuff, most of the shooter audience isn't interested in full realism, unfortunately. It's much more interesting to run around for hours on small maps and kill and die 1000 times. Alas, this is the reality because of which those who love realism, tactics, stealth and other realistic aspects of gameplay in shooters suffer.

To be honest, the last one wasn’t as good as wildlands, but it was not a bad game. I think it’s the excessive Tech that’s affecting the game we love so much

Seems to me Ubisoft are cutting corners on the upgrade to make more profit,not good ! First shooter to me is 'old hat' third shooter is the best and most popular..dont forsee many taking part ! They are ' cutting their nose off to spite their face' at least give the Gamers the option to choose there game play ! Case of wait and see🤔

I agree with you. I think it's very stupid to just follow trends and take the path of less resistance by making shooters like everyone else is now. If Ubisoft really want to create something unique, they should stay in the third person shooter genre, but allow players to switch to first person view as well. Carefully work out the animations in both camera perspectives and thus make a truly unique shooter that will have no equal in the market. This way more players will be attracted, more sales will be generated and everyone will benefit. Is that so hard to understand, Ubisoft? Thanks for the feedback, man.
