@@tigerplaysgames_ By triple crown, do you mean triple digit? I'm not sure what a crown is as a numerical value. If so, that isn't even that impressive, since that's only around 3-4 lives a level. Though I guess losing that many in the earlier levels is harder than the later ones. The game also used to be absolute hell in the beginning, because they airlifted many aspects of single player Mario into it. Such as the slight delay whenever you take damage or grab a powerup that eats a players inputs. So if one person gets damaged, suddenly everyone's controller stopped working for a half second and the cockup cascade beings.
