Virtuoso performance. Exquisite in all respects. Superb sound engineering and lighting set a new standard of excellence. IMO this is among the finest classical guitar videos on KZbin.

As a musician and a craftsman, I like this video a lot. Seeing the details of the fine construction and the masterful playing at the same time is such a great idea.
A beautiful presentation all around -- the music, playing, guitars, audio, videography, everything.

Roberto de Miranda is my favorite. It sounds more traditional to me which is the sound I appreciate. Very well filmed and performed!

I can't help it, a cedar top guitar always gets my preference. I would take the second guitar (Jeff Sigurdson ). I also like the romantic guitar (Mark Usherovich) very much. Maple is another very attractive tonewood. Apparently, Canada has many good luthiers ... .

Beautiful playing and a fantastic presentation of guitars ranging from very good to fantastic... I would have hard time to tell which one I liked best, but I think Blackwell would lead the list followed by both Usherovichs (the small one a bit outside the game) and Miranda as third; but in truth it's almost not possible to arrange these three or four (including Jeff Sigirdson) into a linear good to better scale... They are all great and a bit different. One could be easily very happy with any of them...

What a fun video, beautiful playing and work! My favorites were the Blackwell and the last Sigurdson, then right after maybe Mark’s guitar and Joshia’s. What was experimental about Sigurdson in the design, by the way? Maybe balsa instead of nomex?
@AndreiPuhach2 жыл бұрын
The last Sigurdson is Cedar/balsa/cedar double-top. I ordered that same guitar a couple years ago, it is finally ready, Jeff will be shipping it this week! So excited about it! If you want to hear other skilled guitarists playing it, check out Yeram Yoon on KZbin. He is also playing Sigurdson's cedar/balsa/cedar. Sounds fantastic!
@DrewHendersonGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Hi Evan! Thanks, you liked my own guitars the best. The last guitar was the first balsa core Sigurdson had made. He didn’t put much effort into the looks, but man the first time I heard it I knew it was a winner. I have an balsa core 8 string now by him with all the bells and whistles, will post something with that guitar soon.

Great video Drew! A love letter to guitars. Great production. All the guitars sounded great. One thing that comes through: The player makes a huge difference compared to the guitar. I say this as a luthier who recognizes differences in the guitars. Bravo, really.

I like most the 7 blackwell, then the 5 usherovich, then the 9 sigurdson, then the 4 dominelli, the 8 bernabe, the 2 sigurdson, the 6 de miranda. The 1 de jonge more potential but not yet at the top, the 3 usherovich romantic is another style of guitar.
