Here I thought it was a simple upscale, nope! It has bells and whistles and a brand new paint job, better textures, 3D models are higher and the only missing thing is the lighting.

It looks good but Im not sure if it looks as good as Luigi's Mansion 3? Sometimes it looks about the same but sometimes it just seems too simplistic.

@@PnC_GameZnThingZ yeah, I agree. I just thought they could spruce it up a little bit more. It’s an alright port but it doesn’t really feel like it’s such a great upgrade on it for it being released costing 50% more than the 3DS version. If it was release around the same price or even 50 USD, it would feel like a fair price for what we’re getting here. And honestly, I’m pretty happy about ports in general for the convenience of having older games running on new systems, but this was not a good one, it seems.

They made a mistake in Luigi's eyes. When Luigi is about to operate a channel or do whatever with the tv, you can see a spec of animation around Luigi's iris as he is looking directly at the tv and then at the button. In the switch version, his eyes are firmed and fixed as he is about to hit the botton.

The switch one has his eyes brows raising but 3Ds has overall better emotion. The whole game isn’t like this from what I seen, I hope lol.

interesting the ghosts are missing the bright outline effect from 3ds and the lighting over all is much flatter in this remaster, much less pop and mood. look at the part with the tv especialy is kinda missing a lot. they want full price for this?

​@@angelvillegas9604Even with super crisp glasses this remaster looks rushed... Anyone with eyes can see that and your just blind. The animations on Luigis eyes feel static and the game only supports 30fps which is a cheap cash grab. At least with TTYD we had fully redone textures and lighting. No excuses for why this port couldnt have had more effort put into it. Its lazy if anything and uh I ain't defending it. Will just play the 3ds version on Citra instead for a better experience.

And no am not buying this remaster but I still support the 3ds version. It did a much better job capturing the atmosphere well needed for a cinematic game like this! Paying full price and it doesnt include Luigis Mansion 1 no thanks. I mean literally look at Luigis Mansion 3... That game looked way better than this does.

​@@angelvillegas9604Oh and thars not even bringing up I can basically make full use of both screens since I have an external monitor allowing me to use my steamdeck as an external gamepad to play the 2nd game. Have fun playing the crappier cheaper version of Luigis Mansion Dark Moon and continue to defend lazy shit Nintendo brings instead of providing us with actual new games and content.

Oh and before you say we do have new stuff?? Open your eyes! This entire year has just been ports and remakes. Not a single new first party game on switch except for the Peach game which was more of a spinoff.
