The set with the basement and spider is absolutely an homage to 'The Shrinking Man' by Richard Matheson, published in 1956 and made into a film in 1957. The protagonist finds himself shrinking after being exposed to radioactive spray, and becomes trapped in the basement of his house. The most famous moments from the book and film have him stalked by a black widow spider, grown monsterous to his perspective.

When Morley is finished editing his film you can choose the capture him. If you do catch him it unlocks an achievement. However, most people do not want you to capture him because he’s a nice guy. Nevertheless, the choice is yours.

I've had this game a couple of years now and never got to it. I started 2 days ago, and thank god for your video. I'm trying to finish of the gardener boss and had to take a break.
