*I have a really funny glitch I discovered today!* So on the first mission in Old Clockworks, the first time you walk into the Cargo Room, there should be a spider inside of a cardboard box. However, E. Gadd calls you at this time, so start vacuuming up the spider RIGHT before he calls you and voila! The spiders legs should all be straight as a pin, while it is stuck on the tip of the vacuum. Once you answer, the spiders body should start to bend into a weirdly comical shape, and it should be floating just above luigis right shoulder. Luigi will also start sliding around, like one of the glitches in this video. It is truly funny, go try it out

I gotta say, this game has always impressed me with how stable it is, I can't remember a single time it crashed or softlocked on me. but I have plenty of memories of screwing around with it in an attempt to find glitches, I pretty much never found anything though...but now that I think of it, There's an interesting audio glitch I found in Haunted Towers a year or two ago on one of several playthroughs. Firstly start the Bonus Mission "Hostile Intrusion". Next at any point during the mission head up to the Crow's Nest (the bridge that connects the tower's on the Fourth Floor), entering this area will cause the normal Hostile Intrusion theme to stop playing, and instead the ambiance that normally plays in the area will play instead. Now leave the area and the normal Haunted Towers music will begin playing instead of the Hostile Intrusion theme. Catching all the ghosts in the current wave will cause the Hostile Intrusion theme to begin playing again. This glitch can be repeated after every wave. it's really out of the way since Ghosts usually don't appear in any rooms above the third floor, so it actually doesn't surprise me the developers didn't notice it.

I know of an odd camera glitch In the level with the pool once you defeat the ghosts and complete the mission the key will appear, but if you stand in the pool and grab the key using the Poltergust the camera will be in the wrong position during the mission completed thing which is actually kind of entertaining.

There’s another really funny glitch, in the haunted towers. In the mission where you have to save toad, head to the crypt and use the dark light. If you trigger the boo then free toad, the game glitches and you can leave the crypt. If you do it right, you’ll be stuck in some sort of “limbo” where Luigi can’t leave the graveyard.

3ds games are either REALLY solid and well made, or they pull a super mario paper jam and are COMPLETELY broken. This being one of my all time favorite 3ds games, it being really solid just gives me more of a reason to love it. But I will say, on the boss mission in the haunted towers, there is a glitch you can do that will allow you to run up the stairs without having guess the correct staircases. I found this out in the speedrunning community, though I don't remember how to do it since it's been so long since I've last played this game

Extra glitch: Sometimes in the scrascraper if a rare spooker sucks you in their portal, you’ll teleport into room, but half of the time, you fall through the ground and respawn in the same room.

When replaying the first mission of the Haunted Towers in order to get better scores, i encountered a strange glitch at the end. After the cutscene that introduce the Gobber, both Luigi and the Gobber wouldn’t make any noise during the whole combat, leaving it with only the music, the goo and poltergust noises! Even Luigi didn’t make any "Yeah!" or "I do it!" after sucking the ghost up.

Another glitch i found. If you collect the Strobulb in the first mission, and go to the Mudroom and flash the door to the Mudroom Exterior, Luigi will disappear while the door opens.

That's probably because the game expects you to be at the other door that requires the strobulb to open when you open a strobulb door for the first time. So it just teleports you there while the animation is playing.

I just discovered this glitch, in A-3 Quiet Please! If you go to the Common hall, and peek into the Library where are you can see the Poltergeist, (make sure you get it for this) use the dark light device on the door and key painting to unlock it, Go out to the patio and get the key from the statue, then go into the kitchen, go up to the dining room, and into the library. The poltergeist will still be there. And you can actually catch it. Thank you for reading this, Carter Burns Productions.

Here's a glitch I encountered in one of my recent playthroughs: So basically, right after returning to beat the mission "Quiet Please" again because I needed to capture a boo, I decided to then move on to the mission I was supposed to move on to (sticky situation.) Except, for some reason when I loaded up the game, the first location was in the garage, and there were two ghosts in there. One of which was doing that animation from the beginning of the game In the car when you looked in the window. I captured the other ghost, but I left the ghost in the car behind and left the mansion. I went to the window to see it would play that animation of him driving, but instead he just sat in the car, frozen. And as soon as I tried to re-enter the room, my game crashed. I have NO IDEA how this happened, and I can't recreate it. It was really cool, though.

I found a minor Mario Odyssey glitch. Do the mecha wiggler mission in New Donk City and after you get off of the steel girders, there is a passage way to the left with some purple coins and a green trash can. If you hit the trash can, Cappy will get stuck behind it for a few seconds. That is the same for if you manage to throw Cappy behind it. This glitch is very minor, but still pretty interesting.

There is actually another glitch with blue toad where he can’t even notice you after fiddling around with those yellow and red ball things Blue toad kept crying and I was able to push him into the wall a bit where you find 2 lifts and a key in a future mission This glitch is found in D-1 where you find the bridge to the lift you use to get to the end of the mission I was very surprised that I made the glitch happen, but doing so soft locks the game cause you can’t proceed without Blue Toad through doors in the mission

I once got a glitch on the Scarescraper, where I got trapped in a rug, but when someone else came to save me, it didn't free me. They weren't able to suck up the corners of the rug again, and we ran out of time because ghosts kept spawning.

Mariofan665 I love playing ScareScraper to this day, hopefully it returns in the second sequel! Anyway, some of the glitches can be avoided by experienced players. You can simply try walking around every rug, assuming they are traps. I do that. Additionally, Polterpup Mode is by far the safest mode to play, whether it be on your own or with other ghost hunters. Here's why: if the key glitch happens, it's okay. You'll never need a key in Polterpup Mode to access a specific room. Players also can't effectively troll like they can in Hunter or Rush. In Rush, they can decide to not step on the vault switches, for example. On a side-note, getting cursed is technically okay, you just can't have a power-up like the Restorator. I got used to the reversed controls quite a long time ago. Lastly, I want to say Surprise Mode is my favorite to play, but anything can happen on that mode.

Luigi's Death Stare Yeah, that key glitch is not painfully common, but it renders Polterpup Mode to be the ideal way of fully enjoying ScareScraper. About what you said regarding Rush, you don't have to find the exit right away. Clearing out those ghosts can be incredibly rewarding too. Example: players have the Level 3 Poltergust Charge, and if you catch a ghost with that charge, you get 3 gold bars, which equals 60 gold! Level 1 Charge gives 3 coins, and Level 2 gives a single gold bar. These values increase even further if you catch more than 1 ghost at once, which the game explains in a tip.

Luigi's Death Stare Okay, I'll gladly give a rundown of some more obscure tips. 1. Ghost HP increases by 5 after every boss floor, with the exception of Creepers, the ones with infinite HP and requires a charge. 2. The purple bushes can have treasures or other things inside them. Simply use the Poltergust on those bushes, and the same applies to ceiling fans. 3. You can reveal Creeper puddles with the Poltergust instead of the Dark-Light Device. After discovering this, I use the Poltergust way more often. 4. Ever see those little green balls with spikes? It seems that their only purpose is to troll, oddly enough. If you shoot one at a teammate, they lose 10 health. Yes, they can potentially make an injured Luigi faint. 5. When the Map power-up is obtained by anyone, it reveals the entire floor except the teleportor wardrobes. Players will still have to try out the wardrobes if they go anywhere.

I once saw a Luigi get into an unbreakable loop of flipping in place in front of a Greenie that was perpetually having its mask pulled. We couldn't do anything to either Luigi or the ghost until time ran out, though Luigi may have slipped backward a step or two. Luigi just kept flipping and making this "boow" noise each time... Maybe something to do with using the jump-dodge at the same time as breaking off the suction?

There's a glitch in the toad mission in the secret mine where you pick up toad in the ice room where you need to cross it by throwing toad across. You pick up toad on the other side and shove toad into the right wall toad will die but will get stuck in the vacuum you can now launch him and he will go flying

It is so funny hearing the english name of luigis vacuum xD in Germany it is called "Schreckweg 09/16" (best translation would be "Fearaway zero-nine-sixteen"). This kind of number is in every invention of Gidd, like the "Dreckweg 08/17" in Sunshine and the "Schreckweg 08/16" of Dark Moon. I find it funny that in english it is just a 3000 at the end ^^

ScareScraper glitches. Key can get removed from the floor making it impossible especially in hunter mode endless. Very rarely the boss cannot be found. Bomb can randomly dissapear and end up in the ceiling. In multiplayer one of the players will die and when received they will appear all red. Greenies can get stuck. Gobbers and Strong Gobbers may appear half stuck in the ground around floor 50-beyond in endless. In polterpup mode, the polterpup has completely dissapeared from the floor making it impossible. A extra red coin may happen in the red coin scramble. The camera can have difficulties and the room will appear zoomed out, allowing you to see the purple void. Slammers can get stuck in the ground in the large rooms. A bug, bomb, bat, mouse, and any of there gold modes could have their sound be muted. The poltergust 5000s flashlight and the suck part can get stuck so you can't suck anything. When stuck in a vase and released, sometimes luigis hat appears in his facial area. A terrible teleporter (I am one of them, we are bosses of scarescraper) is able to teleport you from its warpholes to inside the floor, or outside the scarescraper. With good timing, a primordial goo(a large creeper) can lose health in its puddle form. Some ghosts can have unobtainable masses from scarecraper, like a 28 weight regular creeper or a 15 weight regular greenie. Sometimes the key will end up in the ceiling. A shielded ghost will have no shield sometimes but the effect still happens. The sword and shield of a greenie with them can appear in mid air sometimes. The spike ball may dissapear and end up in a picture frame where the "?" is, but the spike ball is stuck.

2:00 Or, it could be similar to how in Mario 64 if you grabbed an enlarged bob-omb (NOT GRABBING IT FAKE) Mario would move backwards due to the enlarged hit box pushing Mario. Maybe the glitch tricks the game into allowing the fuzzball to push Luigi but, he is actually still sucking the fuzzball.

It's probably to satisfy his American audience. Luigi's Mansion 2 is a much better name for the sequel to Luigi's Mansion, "Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon" sounds like a spin-off rather than a sequel.

There are more glitches in the game than the ones shown in the video. Here's a list of a few glitches. 1: Frozen gem under table- In one of the missions in the first mansion, when you access the kitchen and open the fridge, rarely, the gem inside the ice will slide under the table, and cannot be collected even if you unfreeze it. 2: Random floating mice- In the first mansion in the hall with the suit of armor, randomly, the mice against the wall will start to float for no reason. 3: Boo cutscene glitch- In the first mansion again when you get the dark light device, you are supposed to find a boo messing around with the mansion's objects. However, if you go back to the mission after obtaining the dark light device and try to reveal the lab door early, the game will play as normal until you get to the dining room. After revealing the objects in that room, the boo will not show up. The only way to fix it is to restart the mission. 4: King Boo crown glitch- In the final boss cutscene, King Boo's crown is supposed to have purple lightning coming out from it, but on rare occasions, the lightning won't show up. 5: Money out of bounds glitch- I don't know why this one happens, but in the final mansion in the second to last mission, after I catch a ghost, sometimes the money will just fall out of bounds. It's always gold bars too in the observatory room. (I don't know the name of i the room, but I think that is what it is. The room with the rocket ship in it.) That's all the glitches I experienced in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. One of the glitchest games on the 3DS, but still a fun game to play. Wish Nintendo released a patch for the game.
