Fun fact about Luigi's Mansion: when you're leaving the well after the cutscene where Mario is first shown in the painting, apparently you can hear Mario faintly yelling something like "HEY LUIGI WHAT'S THE HOLDUP". Further confirming his damned impatience

Yeah, you really could. This one I'd say is for speedrunners and people who want bragging rights only. I almost made this as a tutorial video instead of Glitchfest, but couldn't comfortably call it a tutorial when the glitch is so difficult I can't suggest people actually try it.

In the credits of the game, it shows you the paintings for the ghosts you got. What happened after you beat the game with this glitch? Did the paintings of the ghosts you have to defeat to beat the game normally still appear? Or did they not?

I love these ridiculously long and precise glitches that let you finish the game super quickly. It also makes me wonder how someone would figure this all out. Someone could accidentally find the first part, but to keep going and find more and more glitches trailing off the first one is crazy.

Actually, this technique is a speedrunning tactic used for Luigi's Mansion. This is currently the World Record route, so I assume people found the glitch and then went to see how far they could go, eventually getting to the final boss.

Speedrunners looking to find new ways to complete the game as fast as possible

TAS speedrunners use their programs to test every possible thing in the game. One guy probably saw the chest and thought "is there any way to use that to get into the wall." Since with TAS programs the game can be played frame by frame, it isnt too difficult performing the stunts seen, but figuring out what you have to do the first time can be difficult.

I once accidentally got a Boo to be flying around with 0 health. I'm pretty sure it happened because I sucked up a tablecloth as his health was ticking down. Afterward he just went about his Boo-siness like normal.

There's apparently a big game breaking glitch in this game with the last key. if you happen to have the last key sitting on the ground and you trigger a boo to come out, it'll leave the room and you chase it an come back, and catch the boo, it lets you save, but after that, if you didn't grab the key, it will have disappeared and since you saved your progress after catching the boo, it is possible to continue because you need that key to open the door that leads to King Boo. I saw that on a video and I'm shocked I've never experienced that glitch because I literally played this game to the moon and back when I was younger. I still have the game so I might try to replicate it one day in my spare time

That makes complete sense, originally this was going to be a speedrun guide but I changed it at the last minute. The only reason this is a Glitchfest and not a tutorial is simply the glitch is too difficult to recommend people try, so I would be uneasy calling this a guide. I threw some jokes in there and showed a bit more of what you can do with the glitch in Glitchfest fashion, but Luigi's Mansion really isn't a glitchy game, this is basically all there is to it.

I not much of an expert on cheat codes, but I did have an experience once where using a cheat code that unlocked everything in an overworld actually affected the levels in the game. Lesson here is that you need to disable cheat codes that you don't need. Thankfully for my case, I didn't need to have the code enable to keep everything unlocked; saving the game solved that.

Silver StarStream nvm i got passed that part now i am at this really hardest part the one where you fall and go into the middle of the basement wall pretty much whats happening to me is i either fall in the center of the basement hall or when i am on my gameboy horror it shows the 1-2 floor glitched spots and luigi's vacuum pipes
