Oh hey. I think I encountered that Samus myself. Had almost exactly the same experience. Saw what they were doing, got frustrated, said to myself they're not even good and just exploiting a first-optimal strategy, lost the first two stocks before I took their first, started to adapt and make a comeback, only to barely lose on the last stock, then just left despite usually being happy to rematch regardless of whether I win or lose. Primary difference was that I was Isabelle and had camping/stage control strategies of my own.

as a luigi main i feel i should let you know, tornado is really good for punishing dash attacks and anything else that launches the opponent towards you horizontally it is luigis BEST "get off of me" move, i cannot tell you how many times i side-b onto stage and they just run into my down special (edit) tornado is also free spacing

I use fire ball to get rid of projectiles. Throw out a fireball to block the projectile and then try grabbing them. It doesn't work on all projectiles like wolf's laser and samus' fully charged shot but it works on most of them. I know this from always having to play against my Friend's toon link

The way you feel about that samus is the way I feel with my roomates... Just sit on the side and when I approach they just shield... out of shield options are way better than sheild pressuring options and it pisses me off. Only a select few characters have good shield pressure and if you don't dont play them then defensive play is OP and boring as fuk to watch, play, and play against.
