@@whisperingeye4968 I think it was because on bispings spoken word tour who louis was opening for in the UK, louis who said he was doin a clean ( ish) show went hard in the paint and ruffled Bispings feathers a bit. @@jd0604 I don't think anyone has ever stated the reason publicly but I think you are correct. Bisping is "Hollywood" Bisping now a respected commentator and member of the UFC and ESPN staff. Him saying how training actually made him more scared to fight is exactly how I have always felt. I have over 4 years of mauy thai training and a purple belt in jiu jitsu but i'm always emphasizing to my friends how you never know what someone is capable of, how vulnerable you are, and how much I don't want to have to fight anybody. Martial arts does this very weird thing where it completely humbles you yet gives you confidence at the same time.
@dontcare70862 жыл бұрын
Same. I've been doing this since I was 12 and seeing how quickly mma evolved was what scared me. If I had to fight a 18 year old we have now with my abilities from when I was 18 I would get destroyed. People have no idea what the guy they are picking a fight is capable of. The saving grace is if you regularly beat people up and get beat up you don't walk around with a ego. Knowing you can kill the loudmouth picking a fight with you is enough. You prove it daily so you're not likely to engage people unless forced to. I try to tell people that the guy who walked away probably saved your life especially if the guy wasn't afraid.

I agree 100% that lying just isn't worth the anxiety that comes along with wondering whether you're in the clear or not etc, best just to be blunt and let things fall where they may. It took me a while to realize that, myself, that maybe I'm not actually super honest and great, it's more to do with laziness and anxiety - but I don't really care that maybe I'm not actually a 'good person,' at least I know I'm not a sociopath.
