Did Ayala bite off more than he could chew by stepping up his comeback against former champ Campas?

Good fight, and Teddy Atlas had his tongue very deep into Ayala. Campos took some shots early but nothing that hurt him in any manner. The body shots Campos delivered were brutal, and if anything was broken, it was Tony's ribs, liver, and pride. Nearly impossible to be away from boxing that long, fight a few stiffs, and expect to beat anyone of stature. Interesting that Tony wanted to be seen as a role model. I assume his platform was "I stopped raping women"....

I don't buy the broken hand claim, he pulled a Sonny Liston and quit because he was taking a beating from the 6 round on and didn't want to be knocked-out, you can see the numerous times he through his left hook since the 3rd round and didn't complain about it anytime in his corner between rounds,,,

While Teddy Atlas keeps repeating how Ayala is "more talented" and "the bigger guy" Campus just keeps beating the shit out of him. Neither was true. Teddy is repetitive and obsessive with his analysis. When he did the Codrington vs Bika he repeated the same stupid shit. Codrington is the better boxer and puncher ad nauseum while Bika just beat the shit out of him and stopped him.

Damn right! I don't dog fighters. I've seen guys with up to a hundred losses that had my respect. It's a brutal way to make a living. But I remember this night well and it was AMAZING. Watching this punk get shown what a REAL man was restored my belief in Justice. It was GREAT.
