It was essentially narcissistic for USA to give themselves the title of America being part of the Continent of the Americas, connected to Central and Southern as well. The country USA 🇺🇸 should have found a unique name like all the other countries who found themselves unique names such as Bolivia, or Canada. Anyway.. this goes very far back into the real history of its origins, but the powers that be made sure of this happening.

Hola trolos, America significa EEUU cuando estas hablando inglés, para referirte a América en inglés se dice “the americas” (las americas) porq en el sistema anglosajón (y el q se usa en todos lados menos Latinoamérica) no existe un continente americano, existe Norteamérica, Sudamerica y Centroamérica. Son considerados tres continentes diferentes y para referirse al conjunto de todos se dice “the americas”. Entonces dejen de romper las pelotas con que hablan mal, porque ellos hablan bien.
