Her daughter has given a interview and is available here on KZbin. She said the real reason why her mother left MGM was because of that pervert Louis B. Mayer. One day in his office he asked her to sit on his lap. She declined and he said, " everyone sits on my lap". Her response was not me! He threatened to end her career but she quit it instead , walked out and never returned . Now we know that all of those other actresses at MGM pretty much had to give it up for their careers.

Not true. Her parents were very wealthy Europeans. She accomplished everything she desired.
