First yes I missed you!❤️. I am also a painter and people don’t understand that creative projects talk to us and take us to the finished piece as it happened to you. Love to hear you talk through your creative process.

I'm a lapidarist in addition to being a paper crafter. When I'm working with a stone, sometimes it talks to me guiding me espically how to wrap it with wire. My grandson laughed at me when I said so. It didn't offend me cause I knew that he just didn't understand.

You have an incredible knack for coming up with truly unique ideas. This turned out amazing-the broken door concept is absolute perfection!

You aced this prompt, Luise! The gold stripes you used for blackout, from my angle, resemble the wood slat interior walls with the sun peeking through, as if walking into an abandoned old house. So perhaps Mr. Chester went to visit his old family home in the picture, and the house was welcoming him, as a dear old friend. Well done grunging the right edge to reveal Barbara's stitching. 💖☮🙏🎄

I think this time, Luise, you were channeling Barbara with your unplanned”baby steps”. I love the way it came together and it’s fun and inspirational to follow your steps. The gold looks like wood panelling and the cut outs look like bricks. Another well done prompt! ❤ Oh and it is appropriate to say “have a very merry Christmas”.

I've never seen blackout poetry before - this is WAY cool and I'm excited to do it! It's not unusual to say a Very Merry Christmas! As a kid we celebrated Christmas (opened gifts) on Christmas Eve. Then my older sister got married and her husband worked on Christmas eve. I did NOT like having our traditions change ... but they did.

My tip for picking out words for Blackout Poetry/ Found Stories is to work from the bottom up. I find the words for the 'end' on the story and work my way backwards. It stops me 'reading' the words too and allows me to see the words that jump out at me. Thought that this might help some people.
