On Christmas night, Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks superstar, added his name to a pair of lists that feature some of the game's biggest legends. Doncic entered Monday's game only 11 points away from achieving 10,000 points for his career. In the first quarter, he hit this significant milestone in the fewest games of any player since Michael Jordan. Doncic finished the game with a 50-point performance, becoming the fourth player in NBA history to do so in a Christmas Day game. This led the Mavericks to a 128-114 win.

Luka also had 7 Stocks in the game, Michael Jordan only had 2 games in his career with at least 50 Points and 7 Stocks, and in those two games Jordan only had a combined total of 6 Assists. Doncic now has 2 games in his career with at least 50 Points and at least 5 Stocks. Kobe never had more than 5 Stocks in a 50 point game, and he only had 5 once, he also had 4 Stocks once. LeBron has never had more than 5 Stocks in a 50 Point game, *and just like Luka he's done it twice in his career.* *LUKA IS GENERATIONAL* 🌠

On Christmas, Luka joined Anthony Davis as the only two players in NBA history to have a game where they recorded at least *4 Steals and at least 3 Blocks* while scoring at least 50 Points! And in the same game Luka also joined Harden being the only two players to score at least 50 Points while having at least 15 Assists in the game. And it was only the 13th game in NBA history where a player has scored at least 50 Points while having at least 7 Stocks (Steals and Blocks combined = Stocks).
@imdbtruth
@imdbtruth 9 ай бұрын
I must correct something I said though... Jordan actually had at least 50 points and at least 7 Stocks a record 4× in his career. Not twice like I originally said. The GOAT (MJ) also holds the record for most Stocks in a game while scoring at least 50 Points with 11 Stocks, when he recorded 52 Points / 9 Steals / 2 Blocks / 3 Rebounds / 2 Assists in a 1988 game against Bird and the Celtics.

In the last 10 games, Dante Exum has averaged 31.3 minutes, he’s 52.8% from 3, shooting 3.6 3’s per game, averaging 15.6 points, 4.2 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game. He’s also shooting 43.4% from 3 for the season. It’s pretty annoying that I know that and Tim Legler seems to be completely unaware of those facts. If I were in his shoes, I would never be without current statistics on players I talk about. He’s not wrong about Exum’s career 31.7% 3-point shooting, but those numbers are irrelevant right now. Since he came back from Europe, he’s been an extremely reliable 3-point shooter.

The great thing about our boy lively, he doesn't back down on anyone bro, if Luka throws him a lob he'll dunk no matter who's in front. That alone would tell he'll be a great player, regardless he's being labelled as a traditional center. Our boy is 19 and he still can work on his threes and moves

Dante Exum a 6 ft 6 point guard, who is a defensive minded player first. Note on the first play of the game against Phoenix, Dante held Booker full court and pretty much locked him down the whole game. Which is probably why his points were lower than usual.

If he had an actual NBA roster the last 5 years they’d have won multiple chips. Last year especially after the trade was insane. The worst roster in the league. Exum taking those shots instead of Bullock throwing bricks last year is a huge difference. Just get him serviceable NBA players and they’ll win a chip. He doesn’t need a superstar loaded roster like Tatum and other guys. Damn we can’t even imagine the greatness we’d be seeing if he had been on the Celtics great young squad these last 5yrs 😳 he’d have won at least once maybe more on Atlanta as well if they didn’t trade him. Wild.

Yeah implying Exum is only better because Luka is giving him wide open looks is a bit rough. Luka is giving EVERYONE wide open looks. Or everyone has seen a massive increase in 3 point percentage like Exum. Eg Grant Williams. Exum is also playing really well in other ways. I’ve heard about the amount of overtime work Exum is putting in. He’s earned this.

I believe Luka is the greatest 1man offense ever. He’s dominant with the ball from 3pt line, mid range, post and at the rim with the ability to draw fouls and he can create a wide open dunk or jump shot for teammates at all of those spots on the floor as well. Harden and Lebron are the other 2 greatest 1 man offenses at their peak but Lebrons flaw was his jump shot and Harden couldn’t do it at the same level vs the best defenders and team defenses game planning to stop him in the playoffs. But I would still say 1. Jokic 2. Giannis 3. Luka Because Jokic can impact offense more without the ball and isn’t reliant on a stagnant your turn my turn offense so he’s easier to play with And Giannis is significantly better on defense. Not that Luka is terrible but in the playoffs teams game plan more to expose the weakest defender so I still question Luka’s ability to hold up if isolated and attacked. But this years Luka over Steph Kawhi ,Embiid, Tatum, SGA, AD, KD, Jimmy Butler , Booker or anyone else all time and now except peak LeBron

Let’s look what the management will do next year. It was good with Dennis smith jr. They traded him. It was cool with Spencer..they traded him. I won’t be surprised if they trade Jones jr. Just bad choices over bad choices. When you got something. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Just tweak it.
