I just wish more players would be like him and throw all the side antics away and just focus on basketball. You get paid millions to play a game…DUMP all the distractions and that would improve the game and make it more watchable but the NBA is become a political machine sometimes …I just can’t stand that there’s no room for that. Basketball is a unifying thing because it doesn’t matter what race you are it’s how hard you work and how you improve your game and anyone could be the greatest player if they push and improve and strive to be the greatest. I hate politics in sports… It one of the reasons I liked Kobe so much he wasn’t really into anything but being the absolute most ruthless most intense player every time he hit the court, and you have to respect that !

He didn't know Kobe well for sure but they did have a great moment when Kobe put in the effort to heckle Luka in Slovenian language to get Luka's attention and have a great moment and Kobe gave Luka some advice, they took a picture together after the game, etc. Luka clearly knew who Kobe was and respected Kobe. I bet if you ask Luka he will tell you that Kobe is great and Luka can only wish to have a career like Kobe so no need to be so offended by some Kobe respect.
