He has more career assists than Magic because he's played 21 seasons - Magic only played 13. Also, Stephen Curry isn't even in the Top 25 on the NBA All-Time Assist Leaders list, and that's because he's more of a SG than a PG, like Damien Lillard. A PG's main job is to distribute the ball, not to score - scoring should be secondary for a PG. For a current example of a true PG, look at Tyrese Halliburton - he averages 20 ppg, but more importantly he leads the league is assists with 11 per game.
