I agree with Luka about Tim Macmahon.. in the article he wrote for ESPN he said Luka had the fan thrown out for the treadmill line. Of course he made no mention of the fan yelling things the entire game and finally culminating with that line.. bc he wanted the implied narrative that Luka had the fan thrown out just for the 1 line when he clearly knew that wasn’t true.

BUT it was definitely a pointed choice for MacMahon to tweet it in just that manner, knowing only quoting that line about the treadmill was going to get a lot of attention (and giggles) making it a cheap shot to suggest that was all the heckler said. Luka being a cranky complainer isn't great but I'm glad he called him out because MacMahon was being petty.

And to play devils advocate McMahon is not going to do a big write up and go into detail mid game. Unless a fan is being racist, making threats, or something like that… then they should be able to say whatever they want, as much as they want. Luka was wrong for that. But I also understand him being upset with Macmahon. It paints a different picture if Macmahon says the fan was heckling Luka all game and he finally got feed up with it, then him saying Luka had the fan thrown out for saying the treadmill line. What Macmahon said technically isn’t a lie, the fan was 2 rows behind him and he heard everything the fan was saying, so he knew what he was writing wasn’t the full story

I am a big fan of Tim MacMahon but Coach Kidd has a point, too.. "Write something positive.. We are only dealing on this year not last year, coz we can't go back in the past". Have to remember the league Luka is coming from. Some of the Euro League arenas are insanely brutal. I am talking piro technics in the stands, idiots throwing coins they heated with a lighter on coaches and players etc. Also, Luka's been know to be able not only to tune out the hecklers, but to also shut them down with words. I sincerely doubt the treadmill thing is the only thing that guy said, I even doubt it was stuff aimed directly at luka. Most likely it involved his family, but I'm just guessing. McMahon is not a bad reporter, but for some reason he has something against Luka it seem and for a while now. It seems to bebecoming a theme too, as I get a feeling Sephen A. is joining him in the "discredit Luka at all cost" efforts.
